Look, I'm an adult. I'm retired. I have no dog in this fight other than choosing to remember the original fondly. I can have reasonable discussions about all sorts of controversial topics as long as people want to do the same.

So, here goes...

Did they lighten her skin in post?

I'm not kidding and, yes, I think that's something they could and maybe even would, do. It's got Dorfs now, rather than... whatever those things were, before.

I bring that up because the tone of the clip looked weird. I thought at first they were going with a sort of washed-out dreamy look. But, they had a scene with the witch that was a bit more saturated, a bit more HDRI in range, still with a sort of hazy dreamlike filter a bit, but the colors were vibrant. Yet, back to Snow White, she's heavily lit, backlit, and in washed out scenes. So, I paused through the vid and... Well, look, I don't know the actress and I don't know that her chest and neck aren't very light to begin with. But, i've seen interviews and I've seen red-carpet talks and... Well, what else can I say?

I won't be watching the movie just because I don't want yet another memory of a perfectly fine movie being murdered for money... /shrug It seems to be a choice I'm having to make far too often.
