Unfortunately the real high-end stuff is out of my budget range so I'm stuck with low to middle class options (I prefer paying for the performance itself as opposed to aesthetics, so I just choose the options with little to no RGB. Often times they're just as good as their more expensive RGB counterparts, or lack 1-2 irrelevant (to me) features at most.)

RGB can look cool, but it has to be done intelligently. Just plastering stickers randomly over something won't make it look good, but if you put thought into it it can look pretty damn nice

Alot of people get stuff like RGB fans because its cheaper than stuff without lights. I do customizations for a living and have alot of fun doing it.
Isn't the cheaper-than-non-RGB-RGB stuff (hopefully that makes sense) usually some chinesium? I don't browse PC parts often since I only ever do big upgrades at a time, but the last time I checked the cheaper RGB stuff was usually of very poor quality and/or straight up chinesium scrap

Update: I briefly checked Amazon, at least here the non-RGB fans are considerably cheaper than RGB ones. Out of curiosity, can you name/link a cheap RGB fan you like (preferably one that is cheaper than a non-RGB fan)?

Cyan, man? A cold color? Even me, a cold lighting connoisseur, thinks that PCs (and peripherals) should be warm colors. My mouse is currently wine-red/purple, and my keyboard is (usually) a dark purple (except for now, for some reason I got that rainbow going on right now)

Dude cold blue on black parts and black light on white parts looks sick.
Maybe I don't like the cyan because I don't like black stuff usually (ironic considering my whole setup is black, or a shade thereof lol), but I do agree that blacklight on white looks amazing (honestly any reddish/purplish hue does). Might get a white case next, although I'm split on it because yellowing sucks (if that even is a problem indoors), and dirt/dust is so easily visible on it too..

Yea pretty much everything cheaper than cheap is Chinese lol. But when it comes to stuff like lights and cases its not necessarily that bad.

Cases now are resistant to yellowing because they use different materials than they did in the old days. And alot now dont even have synthetic panels, just metal and paint. If you are female, sorry for calling you dude, its habit.

That's good to know. Since you do customizations, what brands (if you know any) would you recommend that meet the following criteria?:
- White
- Mid/Big Tower ATX
- CD Drive slot (very important to me, yes I'm oldschool and refuse to have a USB CD drive lol)
- Decent quality, of course

Since I'm very utilitarian, I don't care for see-through side panels or cable management (aesthetically). Fine if the case has that, fine if it doesn't.

Edit: Damn, first time someone thought I might be a girl. This officially started my polish femboy arc.

I dont know if I can say because that is such a personal style thing and so many are out there. I have an all white Sama case which I love because it was so well thought out yet simple. All the holes are in the right places and nothing weird to make things not fit. Its a very plain look, but it has a glass side panel, not sure if they have a model without it. I might not recommend it though either because it takes very advanced wire management skills, theres not enough clearance to group wires even. But ya I suggest you shop around yourself. Cases can be so simple to so alien looking to random objects. Its just whatever you like ya know. I do not like Phantek cases because they try to squeeze in parts that only fit for their cases, but I do like their fans. Just remember the basics like make sure there is enough airflow and slots to fit everything on the motherboard. You can custom paint them too or add decals.

Thank you, I'll take that into consideration!
Since I am in front of a screen that is L.E.D. lit, I guess that makes it 1 thing...

Unless we count every RGB pixel in the array, then there are thousands of RGB things in front of me right now. :MMForFun:

Just the keyboard. Though it's set to each key lighting up briefly upon being pressed.

RGB on all the time wastes battery.

It's been my favorite color for years because of Pokémon Crystal Version. Even dye my hair cyan sometimes to match the protagonist's. 😅
I don't know about cold, it's such a bright and cute color!

Yeah, back when I got my fans (which are old enough that it's just "has a couple LED bulbs to give it a glow" not "color-changing ring light" crap), colored fans were cheaper than plain.

My case is also pre-glass, too. So the only light is shining through the vent grills. Gonna use this case forever, modern ones are just awful with all the stupid windows & junk.
(Coolermaster HAF 912. Lots of ventilation, lots of bays. Bought it in 2011 for my first build.)

I know that case. Its a nice case. The ones with different numbers have glass and lights and stuff. Does yours have SSD slots on the back? Or does it have 3 multi use slots going down the radiator panel?
