Parent Priviledge
One thing (out of many) that annoy me in life is this idea parents have. That they have some special privilege that allows them to do anything.

Let me provide some examples.

Example 1:
You take your screaming infant into the grocery store with you.

It's understandable if you are single parent. I mean, what are you going to do?

However, it's rarely that. It's literally a couple with a screaming infant that are walking through the store pretending it's not happening.

Example 2:
You're playing a game with someone. They say, "I have to go, I have a kid."

Okay. Then why are you playing an online game that requires the cooperation of others?!

Dedication to family is admirable. But bailing and using your kids as an excuse? Not cool.
-------------------------
I comes down to this: your kids are not my problem.

I didn't create them. I didn't force them on you. There is no reason my life should be disrupted simply because you CHOOSE to have kids.

My life is not worth less than yours simply because you have a child.

if you go around calling other people the problem, maybe you should have a good look in the mirror.

I'm not the one having kids, not disciplining them, and then creating issues for others.

Having a child doesn't entitle you to any special consideration. Nor should it.

I'm sorry, but reason 2 is unacceptable. You really think parents aren't allowed to enjoy life too? God, touch grass, one loss isn't the end of the world.

The amount of privilege you have to complain about somebody leaving a VIDEO GAME because their child needs them is actually amazing.

This has to be bait. Nobody can seriously believe stuff like this.

No, I actually do believe what I'm saying.

You have a kid? That's YOUR BUSINESS. Keep it out of mine.

It's real simple. If you are putting your child above all else? Don't play a cooperative online multiplayer game. You could just as easily play an offline single-player game with a pause button.

I agree 100%. And have even tried to point out here many times that if you're the parent of a baby or child. Anything pre-teen really... you really shouldn't be playing video games 3+ hours a day.

But good luck telling the people here ruining their kid's lives that.

Also, being single is taxed higher. If you are single, you are taxed more.

Or maybe don't take it so serious, it's only a video game...

Why wouldn't someone put their child above all else?

They are not privileges. They are things you find annoying.

One thing I find annoying is when parents bring their kids to pubs.
OP sounds like the kind of person who has pee bottles at his desk so he doesn't have to leave the game to take a bathroom break, and he'd get mad at you if you don't have pee bottles too

OP, if we’re ever in a party together, I’ll make it a point to go afk to take care of my kid <3
