Its funny you say that because I was thinking the same thing. When I first started eating at Taco Bell it was the tiny old buildings you still see here and there across the country and the menu was very simple.
That is just a double order of Grande Nachos Box costing around $10. They periodically offer 1 Grande Nachos Box as a $5 box deal.
They stopped offering the Taco Salad I believe back in March. I can understand how corporate Taco Bell will save money after discontinuing Taco Salads and Mexican Pizzas because both had large, unique crispy tortilla shells.
Soft shells, tortillas, and regular size crispy taco shells they mix and match in various creations in what I guess is their "creative new" marketing items. Really, they're just pinching pennies and improving assembly time for crews.
I bet that eventually we will see one of their great new creations which will be just a bunch of table scraps on their corrugated prep assembly table mixed together with cheese, beans, and ground beef. They could call it "El Basura" and generate huge revenue.
Yeah, the volcano taco shells are gone. I think they got replaced with the Doritos taco shells. And there was also Lava Sauce -which was like the spicy Baja Sauce (both were a creamy pastel orange-ish colored spicy sauce.) I think those sauces are gone too.
The bean burritos too. Mmm...
It really does depend upon the crew working at whatever fast food place. Same with restaurants. Some locations you couldn't pay me to get food from.
Agreed, but I will still miss it.
They also changed up the boxes. They used to have on where I could pick specific numbers of soft taco, hard taco and/or bean burrito.... but that was removed as well.
I also remember the days when Taco Bell used to have green onions.
I recalled when they stopped making it all beef and made it half beans. I thought something was wrong with it when I bit into it
