-room that the pc rests in is cleaned every 8-12 days
-pc up on a desk, not on the floor
-slightly positive case pressure (accomplish this with one or two more 'input' fans than output fans.)
-intake dust filters (remove and clean when the room is cleaned)
and you still have to open it up, once a month of runtime and dust it out properly. its part of maintenance.
but, these steps will drastically reduce the amount of dust the case gathers.
Be sure you have positive pressure (more air coming in than going out)
Good grief that'd be a waste of money.
Most decent computer cases/towers are going to be way under $150, including ones with dust filters for the intake fans.
And as long as you have a few more intake fans than exhaust fans, it'll create positive pressure in the case and keep most fine dust out.
I'm using an old customized all-metal Corsair C70 Vengeance mid-tower case that cost me $60 and looks like a military computer. It came with 3 mesh filters for the intake fans, and I only really need to clean out the super fine dust once a year or two with some canned air.
You can also buy magnetic or velcro intake filters separately depending on if you have a metal or plastic/glass case.
However, I would recommend staying far away from the new "trend" of glass cases, as I have seen way too many of them break and shatter, sometimes without even touching them just from thermal changes.
Also, this should be in hardware forum
why have you made dust a priority... when you can let dust build up for years
on most computers...
unless you live in a really dusty dusty place...
moisture would be more my concern...
as dust and water turn to mud which can
conduct electricity and cause problems..
I have dust problems if i breathe it in i start to suffocate
which MERV filter should i use 8 or 12 or 13 or 9 or 10 theres so many
