i'm in my 40's and my dad still stalks my navy federal and watches what I buy and if I get dog food etc he will yell at me even though it is my own money and i have to take care of dog.

i'd either contact the support team for your fed account or tell your dad to ♥♥♥♥ off.

hopefully it doesn't come to the latter.

Ask your dad to go buy milk/cigs.
Change the password and no more snooping by your dad.

I know government salaries are public, how would he even see an itemized report of your spending?

Grab his crotch and kiss him. He will never talk to you again.

he co signed my account over ten years ago and he can just open the app and see everything that I buy, who puts money into my accounts, and my credit card debt.

assuming you don't need his assistance anymore, you should be able to put the account strictly under your name. again, contact their team and figure out your options.
You're 40 and never once thought to change the allowed access on the account or literally go into a branch and close the account, then open a new one in only your name? :steamfacepalm:

Also, if you are 40, tell your old-ass dad to mind his own freaking business. :MMForFun:

that is what my mom told me to do. I will make calls and try to fix my account to disallow him from seeing.

Parental supervision of your personal finances... in your forties?

Was this arrangement mandated by the state, by any chance?

Have you considered joining the municipal navy instead?
