If this were the case, then we'll have seen a massive drop off YEARS ago and we haven't.
What we did actually see is a bit of the opposite. Many games sold gangbusters out of the blue either by some Youtuber covering it, or by a Youtuber playing it out of nowhere and bringing it to the fore.
I'd go as far as to say it helps sales on the whoel as video of gameplay from an entirely consumer perspective is INCREDIBLY valuable. It's a major factor in me buying games today.
So where's your evidence for any of this claim?
We can also literally see the user base constantly growing which translates into more revenue.
South is not "down", and believing it is makes you a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ person in general.
It'd help if you checked first to see if your opinion was correct.
https://gamerant.com/twitch-not-profitable/
Twitch isn't profitable.
https://fortune.com/2024/01/30/google-has-a-surprise-moneymaker-people-are-paying-for-youtube-and-its-driving-a-15-billion-subscriptions-business/
Youtube is profitable.
And, since Twitch hasn't been profitable and Youtube is, plus Youtube pays creators less and has broadcast TV channels and all the major sports/etc... Youtube's subscription plan could end Twitch. Youtube has streaming gaming and chat and all that...
Twitch was just run incompetently from the start. I don't think it can make it without magic beans or a Beezos-fairy sprinkling cash all over it. (Or, a lawsuit that protects it) I can see Amazon selling it to Tencent... That's be hilarious.
Arabs have defaulted the South to be upwards for centuries.
In fact, before this century and Google® Maps©, you'd always label a map with a Winds Rose, or an arrow pointing North.
Nothing makes North up besides pure arrogance of US+EU.
All of these facts only sum up to deliberate associations of negative imagery to southern countries, even within Europe itself.
The southern border of USA is treated as a limit that separates civilized society and "lesser" countries by millions of US-ians and the US media, which even steals the name of the continent to mean only the US.
This usage of the phrase "when things go south" is widely recognized as being racist/xenophobic/imperialist. I am not making things up. I am just telling you to improve your phrasing.
Could you please just edit out that supremacist expression?
No, I am not.
First: There has never been a civil war in all of America. You are confusing the US with the continent our countries are part of.
Second: I am saying you can orient a magnet to any direction you want. Every magnet has two sides, and one isn't better than the other.
*European* cartographers often aligned North to be up, but not always. Also, you always need an arrow to show which way is North. Its arbiratry: you can point North to your Left. This isn't hard to comprehend...
The way you improperly use the word "America" is also part of linguistic imperialism. It is no coincidence: its part of your surroundings.
Please do edit your original post and remove the offensive bit.
Going south is a well known phrase that means thinks are going wrong.
It is NOT anythign racist or bigoted in ANY way.
You'd need to demosntrate that claim.
