Why SO MANY furry puzzle games on Steam?
Whenever i check for discounts i see dozens of nearly identical furry puzzle games with nearly the same name (i don't want to block nsfw content because i don't want to accidentally block legit good games).

Is that some kind of business? Hard to believe people actually have passion for such kind of stuff.

It's not coming from personal recomendation list, i check games directly in steam categories.

I know it's crazy how much pure garbage you have to wade through on steam to find the few rare gems.
Idk man, people really seem to like furries,Hitler and NSFW content all mashed together.
Simple: Their not games, the art in them is stolen off of gallery sites, slapped into their cheap regurgitated product, layered with a default puzzle UI that is the same across all of the games (yes, one puzzle size fits all) and then sol d on Steam as self made despite...nothing about it being original, not even the puzzle part itself is original when I need to point out its ripped from a far older indy series made by a dev who did brain-teaser games, I played the original ones, those were at least fun.

When i checked few ones (because i recognized a popular artist on cover and decided to check descriptions) i learned that they sometimes have a deal with artists (and you can't blame them: more exposure, extra money, etc). I don't say that Steam politics "everything is allowed" bad, but it has its cons, such as overall quantity of all games overweights the quality.

I'd assume they were made specifically for steam backgrounds and badges
Probably there solely for achievements, trading cards and items, etc., and for game collectors who buy games just to show them off. There probably exist many other such games, just with anime.

Steam's search engine is really bad and makes it hard to find hidden gems.

Steamdb info has a more precise and with more tools search engine, which helps in finding good sales & overall good games. At least that's what I use to search for new games to add to the backlog during seasonal sales (summer, autumn, winter, spring) & halloween, christmas, new year, etc.

Otherwise people recommending games in forums is also another nice way of finding games, for example i've found Crosscode thanks to the recommendation of people here in this forum.

I’m pretty sure most of their sales come from people gifting them as a joke

Also blocking the anime tag gets rid of most of them without anything of value lost in the crossfire

Because they sell and are cheap and easy to make

Blocked long time ago, still to many of them.
