i am not sure probably french accent. i often wonder what makes people say things in that way, because no one is forcing us to say or do things in a certain way. a combination of habit and environment, also if we believe in ghost theory are people some puppets that ghost speak to in that way we can assume some "french" ghost is speaking through a person or another person is mediating an "english" ghost.

I guess most people don´t have much positive or negative to say about Belgium - if it´s not about their African colonies back then. It´s like just there. There´s Brussels, and all their neighbors are either richer, or bigger, or both. I don´t even know any stereotype about Belgium, perhaps the Dutch know some...

An example how overlooked Belgium is:
French fries. They should be called Belgium fries if one puts a nationality on them - and they´re not vegetarian, as they´re fried in beef fat - and they´re just fried potatoes. "Patates Frites". "Pommes". "Fritten". Not "French fries".

TL;DR:
I guess if anyone tells You that real fries are fried in beef fat - they´re most likely Belgian...
