what's your opinion on mcdonald's as a corporation?
do you think they are a good business for humanity and for people to work for? or do you think they are bad and making society worse?

Ronald McDonald is a fine traditional role model and symbol of freedom.
i agree
I generally avoid businesses with models that try to push all or most of their financial risks onto the "small guy", whether than be franchise operations like McDonalds (where the only real risk of failure is the individual franchises), or work for hire type gigs like Uber, or businesses that pay their staff tiny amounts on the assumption of tips from customers will make up the difference during busy periods.

If you think you can run a good profitable business, go all in and own it, don't try to hedge your bets by offloading risk onto subsidiaries and/or workers.
used as a flak and a justificaton for substandard quality in the burger wars. but anyone could have done this; it was going to be burger king until they decided it was better if mcdonald's took the negative press over this.
Only their fries are good.
They were fine as a corporation until the government started regulating their wages.
Poor quality food, unfair tax advantage in many countries, poor working condition.
I also see it as an enemy to public health.
Their stock dropped from $300 per share to $270 per share. Can't tell if I should buy the dip or not.

Problem is California is pushing for $20 minimum wage, and this could cause a

across the USA, which might disrupt business further. Especially in the fastfood industry like McDonalds.
The movie The Founder somewhat exaggerated things, but Roy Crock really was a huge douchebag,

The CA $20 minimum wage went into effect the first of this month.

I recommend checking local California news stations to see first-hand the definition of "economic bloodbath."

i never saw it. should i watch it
WORSE.
"a good business for humanity" lmao!!!!!!! NO. It only disrupted "The Balance".

They keep using highly processed diluted junk ingredients & other 'unhealthy additives', merely for their own profit and NOT for the sake of people's health.
Soooooooo that would be a NEGATIVE.

Ray Kroc, as the greedy business man he was, can go eat a Mc-💩burger :steamhappy:
He only wanted to take advantage & profit from expanding their restaurant nation/world wide.
Blinded by the money he was oblivious to the consequences of what fast food would become and what it would do to society.

Quickly & easily feeding millions/billions of people(society) for the exchange of a universal currency mostly caused an "exponential imbalance" too fast. The ease of mass-agriculture caused a population increase exponentially, which also led to excessive resource consumption and waste/pollution... So I guess the unhealthy part of these fast foods helps to slightly slow that exponential increase, and also gives more jobs to healthcare workers and other fields of research to counteract all of this junk? One thing leads to another. :steamfacepalm:

- but, nobody likes clowns anymore, AND what the f' is up with that FAT purple blob Grimace?? :steammocking:
McDonalds has supersized Americans.
