Why do so many people work low paying jobs?
Honestly why do people keep work all these low paying jobs, those jobs don't seems to have any future, like working for $15/h vs getting an education to make like $50/h the second option is simply much better in the long term. If good jobs don't exist you should move to another area with better jobs.

lots of people are simply desperate and have very little options where they are, not everybody can start off with a job like target that pays at least 15 an hour

But it is a dead end, you should get away from those jobs as quickly as possible, yet many people seems to get stuck at those low paying jobs.
If they all got an education, those better jobs would pay $15/h because there would be more competition for them. Jobs only pay more when it isn't as easy for the employer to replace the worker in question with someone else of equivalent skills for less money.

People without money can't move to another area with better jobs because areas with better jobs have higher rents/housing costs than areas without them.

Depend on productivity, high paying jobs tend to have much higher productivity per worked hour, so more money to pay the employees.

Like information sector in USA have something like 4 times the productivity per worked hour compared to USA average, so much higher.

They don't call them slaves for no reason
Bottom line is that they are young and they still want to act like their parents.

They think they deserve 8 hours a day to do hobbies/gaming in their 18-20s.

Older people worked harder. They're seeing them in their 40s and 50s. In my 20s I studied until I couldn't study anymore. And then I went and mowed lawns and moved people's stuff.

And I invested at least $100 - $300 a month. I'd probably be doing more if I had a $15 an hour job instead of a $6 an hour one.

I don't know why young people think they deserve 8 hours of their day free to goof off. You're healthy and should be working your ass off. Like squirrels and nuts... You don't want to be the one in the winter years of your life without nuts.
What kind of job would pay 50/hour? I can't think of a single job

Median wage for software developer in USA is $130k so that is one.

UPS can get up there. A lot of jobs pay $50 an hour come to think of it. $104,000 USD a year has become not that unattainable of a bar.
At $100k you should be able to save like $20k a year, at $200k probably more like $60-80k a year, which still leave $50k to live off.
$50 per hour would be the upper 1% in my country
