But as a good game.
what I want is a law that will protect the herritage of man.
1 all games will become freeware 10 years after release
2 compagnies who sell games today must make investments to make sure those games will remain available forever, aka it will become a criminal offense to destroy cultural herritage and that will include games. (and no longer allowing people to play it or gain acces will count towards that)
remakes would be criminal.. instead what we would need is drm free games + decent emulators of old hardware and os.
with all games on steam becoming freeware after 10 year.. and emulators to run them (those emulators may be a paid program you like an os buy once)
than you can run those games forever on that emulator or download a fresh freeware copy and buy a new copy of the old hardware+os emulator and do that.
there are games I would want to regain acces too.. as they have since became rare.. but I much rather have an drm free copy of that original game than a remake
besides that.. I also rather have the next game in a series.. aka new original content.. so I get chooice which I want to play today.. than just paying 15 times for the same game..
SHOGO; Mobile Armor Division.
An ainme inspired gem that needed a lot of patching when it came out, and had some wonky human graphics, but kind of a fun game all the same.
Remake it. Remaster it. Port it over to Pc or at the very least to PS5 properly. Update it. DO ANYTHING. The day that happens is the day I can finally die. After playing it over and over and over again.
