Why is Youtube shadowbanning 90% of my comments?
This is just downright stupid at this moment.

I don't make offensive comments, I don't have insults or slurs, yet my comments are shadowbanned.

I did a few tests. It seems that if the word "Woke" is in the text, the comment gets shadowbanned. If the word "Karen" is in the text, the comment gets shadowbanned. If the word combo "modern audiences" is in the text, the comment gets shadowbanned.

If I write "I like pie", the comment is fine.

So basically absolutely anything that would be even a tiny little bit critic of the Left and Leftwing themes, just gets removed.

WOW!

Good for them, I'm glad YouTube is cracking down repetitive and braindead comments, most of them repeat the same thing over and over again.
What they need to do is get rid of those "Who's watching/listen in (insert current year)" comment with a finger emoji pointing to the like button. I see them a lot on old videos (such as Me at the Zoo) and on music videos (like Despacito)

Been like that since 2016. There are videos with hundreds of thousands of views, and 40 comments displayed. Almost anything with even a degree of intellectual depth will be hidden.

Just the way liberals like it too, they love censorship and silencing of any view opposing theirs, while claiming to be against fascism.

Plenty of bots spamming copy+paste messages though.

I am firmly on the liberal side, but I honestly want to discuss all of the political beliefs. YouTube makes this difficult because of its comment review bot. I was once having a (rather civil, given the topic) discussion about LGBT rights with a conservative person in the comments of one of my community posts, and their comments kept being held for review. At the time, I didn't have any moderators or blocked keywords on my channel, so it was 100% YouTube being incredibly biased.

Maybe you should just start threads being sympathetic to pedos considering the mods let that go for 21 pages... :conwayshrug:

That seems to be an acceptable "left" wing topic for them.

They really dropped the ball allowing such outrageous political statements like "I like pie".
Everyone knows it's some kind of dog whistle or whatever, lights in the gas.

But don't worry, knowing youtube they'll ban those comments too at some point.

There are some things everyone should firmly be against, with pedophilia and zoophilia being two examples of that. People who legitimately support that kind of stuff are disgusting and probably should be put on some kind of "one to watch" list.

Problems with society like rights of (legitimate) minorities, however, are a topic that I believe should be debated. Despite people generally categorizing themselves into one of the two political parties, everyone has a slightly different stance on these issues and it can be beneficial to hear every side's ideas

Google has also offered to handle vaccine passports for the US gov, and then AGAIN offered to handle digital ID for them, once it was rebranded.

I don't see how "Oh, you might want <service>? We'll do that, for money!" is at all some sign of badness. Google is a service provider - if you pay them, they'll run the service you ask them too.

That's just basic capitalism.

Which I thought the righties were all in favor of. Funny how their hallowed "unfettered capitalism" suddenly should be buried in fetters when those capitalists do something that the Right wants canceled. While screaming about 'cancel culture' being bad, and totally something they don't do.

(kind of how "small govt! get the govt out of our business! protect our privacy from govt!" goes by the wayside for things that the Right doesn't like. Trans? Abortion? Civil rights? Whoops, we need to violate all the privacy, and intrude the govt all the way into your business, if it has to do with those things! That's what happens when you don't actually have any principles, you're just play-acting them to try to get idiots to vote for you.)

To be fair, the government needs to be involved in our lives in some capacity no matter what. If they weren't, our country would have probably devolved into a lawless anarchy a century ago. On top of that, they are responsible for keeping the big corporations in check so they don't have absolute monopolies over their respective areas. Not to mention that the government is responsible for keeping basic infrastructure like water, electricity, and roads maintained. Their performance on those last two points are... questionable to say the least, however.

Despite this, there definitely should be a limit on how much involvement the government should have with the average citizen's life.

Yeah, it's a shame the current liberal owners of Youtube don't think the way more moderates do.

Speaking of the polarized left and right though.... Wheres the left's support for julian assange lately?

The right barely talking about it. And the left is outright ignoring his case entirely.

Yeah. If you are going to host the largest video sharing platform on this half of the planet, then you should allow people to actually discuss what they want unless it is an inappropriate topic on the legal level, such as encouraging pedophiles

Because attracting users who interact on their site would start earning them money.

And YouTube hates earning money. It would mean they would have to pay taxes.

Yes and no.

Mainstream and big tech in general absolutely want customers who are basically sheepish and milquetoast and like to talk about pie and the weather.

However they don't want...shall we say "controversial" subjects being talked about, be those politics or gender issues etc...because they have advertisers on the platform and those advertisers don't want to have their ads associated with "controversial" content, so Youtube does its best to remove comments and users who engage in political discourse that offends the advertisers because the advertisers are the real pay pigs, they are the VIP users, not you as the peasant and content consumer, so Youtube doesn't give two ♥♥♥♥♥ about you and, yes, Youtube doesn't want you interacting on their site if you won't stick to just "I like pie" comments.

"So what is considered controversial content?" you might ask? Well besides the obvious offensive content that should be controversial, simply expressing a Rightwing opinion is considered "controversial", hence why all these political Youtubers and critics of Hollywood companies are demonetized and don't get money from ads, but only from tips and donations and their own merch.
You're absolutely right.

And yet, YouTube still can't make money even when they cater to their pay-pig advertisers.

What they're doing isn't working for them. Not even after attempting to ban ad blockers.

It only gets worse when they take money away from creators who deserve it. I already mentioned that I'm pretty liberal, but I still follow conservative channels so I can get both sides of the argument. These channels often bring up good points or ideas, but they also have some views that most liberals would disagree with. Due to this, these channels often are demonetized, and have to rely on things like Patreon to stay afloat

YouTube is toxic and will cheerfully censors anyone that is not "woke" when it pleases them to do so. Google/YouTube is controlled by the same people that control the US government.
