Please don't fight over this but I keep hearing about this "2025 plan" the Republican party is working on. Supposedly it aims to get rid of LGBT people, especially transgender people. Is this true or is the news trying to scare us again?

It's a valid question, but the answer is just some of the Republicans, not all of them.

Also "exterminate" is an extreme word, but rather it's censoring/banning them, similar to other religions and woman's rights, such as having abortions, etc.

The interesting thing is Donald Trump had previously prevented a banning of a Transgender in his own Miss Universe (when he still owned it, had to sell due to walking in the changing rooms). Trump himself considered transgenders to be a "buzz" and didn't care even what bathroom they used, etc...

It wasn't until "Project 2025" started that Trump targeted LGBTQ and mostly transgenders.

Everything Trump mentions related back to that.

Oh course, Project 2025 goes beyond breaking the American First Amendment Rights, but merely using anti-LGBTQ, and anti-Woke, etc, as a scapegoat excuse to do so. It's not what they actually care at all about changing, just what a mob mentality might back to support, while getting their own laws changed and restrictions too.

The impact is way more than just the LGBTQ. It's converting America into Autocracy and giving the US president full immunity for all crimes, much like a Dictator.

yup, they're taking a box of tyranny and wrapping it with policies that the right would seem to like.

You have the patriot act which both parties love, and the deep state which the left now loves persecuting Americans.

Criticizing Israel is clearly being made into a law which is against the 1st amendment.

It's a dog whistle for violent radical left-wing extremists who deeply want to commit acts of terror, but need to create a political hate fantasy in order to convince themselves, and others of similar mental illness, that they are justified to go through with a violent act in order to 'strike back' against a perceived enemy.

Needless to say their rhetoric is extremely dangerous, and those who repeat it probably belong on a watch list.

Well, I do actually agree some transgenders where raped victims and considered if they weren't that gender they wouldn't of been abused.

I just believe it should be more open to discussion and supported by their parents and professional doctors, etc. In most cases, that might even prevent some wrong ones.

I'm not celebrating anything, rather I'm just not going censor and try bury it, which will increase the level of depression and suicides in children. A person who assumes they are transgender and denied it has a very high risk of that, compared to a person who has openly discussed it, etc. Also, a child/teen will likely rebel and go off to find support elsewhere on the black market, etc.

Unless a trait is beneficial to the species there is no way for it to continue in the genepool when the people with those traits don't reproduce. The genes needed to make people not be attracted to the specific portion of the population they would need to be attracted to would have to be so beneficial that for the billions of years life has existed species are more likely to go extinct if those traits don't carry through multiple generations even when those carrying them refuse to reproduce. That's regardless of if you are ace, aro, or gay.

But that's not true, the selection must be strong enough for a trait to go away, and many simply aren't, the metric for evolution is "good enough", not perfection at any cost. If dumb people reproduce more there will be more dumb people and if there is tension between what is good for women and what is good for men certain signals may become crossed.

Before social norms were broken and the invention of modern contraception, the groups in question would often reproduce anyways, that is coming to an end.
