Some might not like this post. But their are really no equal rights if polygamy is not made legal for any sex. Therefore. Gay rights do not exist.

It isn't church-based as much as it's based within the various benefits of marriage in the western world. The entire rule book is built on there only being 2 people getting married. So for example, if the husband dies, which wife gets social security benefits? Who inherits the estate? Who makes medical decisions? Do them filing taxes jointly put him on par with a normal marriage or are his taxes deducted even further?
Marriage is a legal thing in terms of the law, not a religious thing. It is only religious based on how people interpret it culturally.

There are many lovely countries in the Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia that allow polygamy. Perhaps those who want multiple wives should consider one of those places.

Humans were originally polygamous, but monogamy was an invention by religions and culture.

Humans originally didn't shower, wipe their arse, or cook food, but hygiene and cooking was an invention by religions and culture.

Indeed, also humans originally let the "weak" die from disease, but we invented antibiotics and other tech.

Humans in general have fought against natural selection for millenniums at this point, which imo is good given the horrors we've seen across human history time and time again.

As someone who probably falls somewhere near the border of asexual and/or aromantic if you don't need to get married to have sex and don't need to desire sex to get married what does being ace have to do with whether someone would want to be polygamus?
