I work at music festivals a lot, and have done this for over twenty years now. I've seen lots of things and have to deal with some crazy stuff. But mostly drunk people in unfamiliar circumstances, or unable to cope with the weather and so on.
And yes, if we get people who are problematic there's definitely more men in there.
But you can break it down further to be more accurate. The more problematic age range tends to be the mid twenties up to around the thirties and slightly younger than 20s. Either end of that not so much.
So I've said it before and I'll say it again, if this causes you an issue on line you can't filter out men versus women easily but you CAN filter ages by changing when you play.
For example, being retired and at home I can get to play at any time of day. If I play first thing in the morning, there's few about until about midday, and this seem an average time. In the afternoon, it goes quiet again until about 4pm. And that's the time I avoid, as you are going to get a lot of itinerant kids at that time.
So I tend to wait until about 10pm as there's often a hard cutoff when you get the best time of adults who have limited time to play and will behave nicely and this goes on til around 2am ish.

online people act the worst. In video games you gotta unleash pent up anger rage frustration and sadness. Venting
if you shy away or break down cry or rage against it then you're out of most gaming circles. Not the regular ones for the masses im talking the very niche ones. The actual fans who know 70% of background / lore on the games or more.
If you pass you can chill with the big kids.
It's like dipping your feet to test the waters before you jump in head first.
the rest suck at the games or are being fake nice
Its also rather humorous to spout such a percentage when chances are no math was involved and that its just an attempt to paint a certain opinion in a certain light.
but i'd rather find it more logical to say that there are some toxic gamers and it has nothing to do with sex.
you can use that victorian attitude if you like, but women can be as bad if not worse than men and occasionally some women can be so toxic it's impossible to tell the difference of the two apart.
the common misconception is that women are a minority of the computer gamer base, yet no one has actually tested that to find out if it's really case. so the pot is calling the kettle black on this one, OP.
when i play competitive games its like 1 woman every full moon, i'm not sure how am i supposed to make a toxicity graph when theres a singular women every 200 men or so.
yeah i guess a lot of those men in 200 were toxic while that 1 woman i met like a week ago was pretty decent person.
bruhhhhhhhhh
