Just don't overdo it; And if you overdo it, approaching them on your own and starting all or most of the stuff yourself will make them all happy for you've decided to approach them instead of all the other people.. They'll want to keep in touch, as you'll become irreplaceable to them.

That's what I want to know. I have steam friends. I talk to them everyday almost. But I have no real friends. I've been bullied before at college and it turned me off from getting to know people.

becase, if you want to be the good friend, then you need to pretend that everything IS in fact ALRIGHT! Because! If you do not pretend, then you're causeing immense stress and anxiety to the other party! That is NOT what the good friend does, so, we must pretend to be someone we're not. That's right, baby! How many times have I had to lie to people that YES, everything is JUST FINE, I'm definitely not well on the way toward complete self-destruction, we have a bright, very bright future ahead of us, and we're gonna live such a happy happy life together!
