Why Everyone Say un-Alive

"Everyone"?

This is the first I've heard of this.

But, then, I don't follow any of this 'streamer' stupidity.
Because if they ban "bad" words, then the associated topics will totally disappear.

You don't see that many youtube vids about killing or death these days.
Now the whole place is just unalive.

Because we are raised to be children, rather than adults.

Hedonism, Me me me!
Consumerism, I want it now!
Here's you you exist trophy. Yay! I'm special mommy!
Here's you black/white news media to simplify everything. Yeah! Emotions over thinking, tell me what to think dad!

Here's a creditcard, forget about responsibility or buying only what you can afford. Yay! I love being irresponsible.

Follow your emotions over reason. Yay! I'll no fault divorce 15 people, whenever the butterflies are gone

Its okay sport, you don't need math or science. Yay! I can learn about oppression and activism. And activism is a public temper tantrum.

etc

Me who has a job and can afford being demonetized: I have no such weaknesses

But if dead is offensive, and unalive means dead, then unalive must be banned. NOOOOW!
:p

it takes 10-40 years to update the lexicon of baned words.

previously banned, has contextual implications that are much worse than simply dead or unalived and a punishment consumate with this increased threat level.

it's pretty far down the list though, so enforcement is often delayed significantly.

Because ultimately Youtube (and by extension YouTubers) are trying desperately to avoid liability.

The idea is that some people are legitimately unaware of concepts such as killing, suicide, abuse and rape. Therefore, making them aware of the concept has a 0.0001% chance of actually causing it; and in liability cases, an infinitesimally small chance is too large for companies who don't want to get sued.

"Unalive" is thus used so that people don't get the idea to murder each other.

Same with Suicide being censored to "self harm"; Because YouTube think 10 year olds will wrap a belt around their neck and off themselves because their favorite YouTuber said the word suicide. How easily do you think a distraught parent could say "My kid killed himself because Mr.Beast told him to!"

Abuse is also censored.

Rape is replaced with "Grape" or "the snuggle struggle" because

Autistic is replaced with "Acoustic"

Guns are called "pew pews"

The list goes on
Same principle as when goggle bans you for saying covid stuff so podcasters call it the wah wah virus. Censorship in action
Incarnate 2 de mar. às 14:09
More specifically, it's a legal tactic, not because any company cares about you. YouTube's execs don't dare risk any idiot claiming YouTube endorses suicide.

If you even search the word or some variant, you will get a patronizing redirect to a screen telling you suicide is bad. Like that's going to do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
