I have played allmost all ubisoft games

And allmost all of them is pure pain and suffering. I can only find one or two exeptions like division pop and r6.

Other than this games every single game they have relased is a 100 hour collectible and side quest run. While their main story at max 20 hour.

They abondoned Prince of persia for AC. And i have no idea how many AC games now im guessing its 20+ and each and every last one of them is same.

They made Division still to this day its one of my favorite looter shoter game.

They made Far cry it was good once then they started ruin entire series after fc5.

Then they started to run out of ideas.

They mixed division with far cry and we get an abomination named tom clancys ghostrecon.

They mixed AC with division and we get another abomination named watchdogs legion.

Still to this date they refuse to use DLLS and framegen any of their games. Even toght most of their games are unoptimized mess.

They couldnt find a solution to smurfing problem for rainbow 6 its litterly only competitive shooter game i couldnt started and stop trying after 20 hour.

And recently they followed live service trend with skuls and bones only to failed. Honestly i dont even know any other live service game that is sucsessfull other than Warframe and Destiny 2.

Dont get me wrong if they relase Division 3 i would have pre ordered. But im realy so tried of collecting stuff none stop. I just wanna play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

Maybe its my fault playing one after another. I finished odysey then valhala and wildlands and started far cry 6. I started to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate playing games because of this company and there was a point i even consider stop playing games completely.

They were great once i dont understand what is happening to them.
Am i wrong to feel that way ?
Or am i alone to feeling this way ?
What do you guys think about Ubisoft

I have no particular thoughts about Ubisoft. They have some games I like and enjoy, they have some games I don't care about. So in that aspect they're like every other game dev/publisher to me.

I don't have any feelings for any particular developer. I play what I like and I ignore what I don't. Seems to have worked out pretty well for me for the last 40 years.

Nothing I have played from Ubi is any better or any worse than anything I have played from any other developer. I'm just wondering what any of this has anything to do with the Steam itself, which this particular forum is about.

You played every "Ubisoft open world game", maybe. But sure as hell not even close to every game, even just recent releases.
It's a bit like complaining that all Codemasters' driving games feel like Codemasters' driving games.

I realy loved odysey toght valhala should be better it wasnt. I even left unfinished dlcs at valhala.

I use to love FC5 even toght new dawn has a terrible story its gameplay was great toght FC6 could be better and it wasnt gameplay was worst story was worst even grapichs and performance was worst.

I decided to give it a shot to wildlands and realized it was excaly like division with the same amount of collectibles as fc6 and story wise it was the weakest ubisoft game ever.

And im afraid of starting legion i did get an increadibly cheap price and it sits in my library over a year now

I could be wrong but you sound like you're boasting here, yet you complain about most of them not being very good... be more selective, not just with the development studio but with which games you actually play... I was criticized recently for having "only" 33 games in my library, despite being on Steam for over a decade now with this profile... you can add a Zero to that 33,as in zero refunds...:-)

Well i could still say i have played most main streamed AAA games from Ubisoft.

I liked Far Cry 6 when it came out, and it was a good game, but they've progressively ruined it with every update, and it got to the point where the launcher never worked. I had to manually launch the game from the folder, with a specific workaround just to get it to launch. Then they screwed with it more so it doesn't launch whatever i do. I haven't played it since....

I did get it free with some PC parts though, and i went through it 3/4 times before it stopped working completely so im not too annoyed. I simply remember it from when it did work.

Now the new Settlers game? the words to describe how bad that game is haven't been invented yet.
Loved the previous games up to and including 6 .... My favourite is the "Settlers 2 10th Anniversary", which i still play today on my win11 PC.
That new one is complete garbage, and didn't even have the ability to pick a map to play against AI A feature that has been in games like this for years.....

Well, they are known for making games which are basically just "The Ubisoft game" reskinned. While on their own they might be pretty good, it's all more or less the same. However they are not unique in that, you could call RDR2 "Horse GTA" which is a bit crude but it can surely be seen like that.

Also they are of course woke and like to rewrite history and such, which isn't great. But I guess that just comes with the AAA formula now.
