Sweet Baby Inc Games Part 2
Let's keep it civil. We don't want threads like these getting locked due to disagreement. I just posted this a few hours ago. Thoughts?

"Gamers (as a diverse group) don't want political ideology inserted into their games. They especially don't want the modern-day politics of the alt-left inserted into their games. They don't want their favorite intellectual properties (like Star Wars, Spiderman, or Lord of the Rings) rewritten and redirected to fit the current political narrative.

It's obviously not just Sweet Baby, Inc. That company is a symptom of a greater problem. When politics magically inserts itself undemocratically and uncompetitively, you gotta follow the money. And consider the tactics.

Here is Larry Fink, the CEO of Blackrock, saying you have to force behaviors:

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink Manages $8.6 trillion in assets. He explains how ESG & CEI has to be forced upon people.

Consultants like Sweet Baby Inc are hired to insert DEI into games to satify the ESG incentive. The ESG incentive comes from major investment companies like Blackrock and Vanguard.

You know the sweet sounding words of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) don't work as well in practice when laws are being enacted against it.

So, what happened? A guy from Brazil (username KABRUTUS) created a group here on Steam listing all of the games worked on by Sweet Baby Inc. Is there anything wrong with creating that list? No. Why? It doesn't violate the rules. How do you know? Because the group is still here. And trust me, Steam looked into it.

So, the group (created at the end of January) slowly gathered members during the month of February.

What caused the group membership to explode in early March (when the group had only 9,000 followers) was when a Sweet Baby Inc employee took to X (Twitter) and tried to crowd-source reports to silence/censor the group. She said "report the f#ck out of this group" and report KABRUTUS as well "since he loves his account so much." The Sweet Baby Inc employee was subsequently banned from X for a week because you are not allowed to start harassment campaigns.

So, the Sweet Baby Inc employee brought massive negative attention to her company because of the tactics she employed to silence a group - a group that is not breaking the rules. This fact is overlooked by the gatekeepers and game journalists, but not the gaming community on YouTube.

The Sweet Baby Inc Detected group has become a Top 5 group on Steam in less than two weeks. It has grown from 9,000 followers to 275,000 followers:

https://steamcommunity.com/groups/sweetbabyinc-detected/curation

The relative size (Top 5 group) and massive growth rate (less than two weeks) of the Sweet Baby Inc Detected group should tell people that gamers (again, a diverse group) consider this to be an important issue.

I've been following this story ever since I was first alerted to it - when the Sweet Baby Inc employee tried to crowd-source a harassment campaign on Twitter to silence/censor a Steam group voice (and get the curator banned as well). The CEO and other employees of Sweet Baby Inc have said disturbing things online - and maybe I'll post about them. If you want to know more just search for Sweet Baby Inc on YouTube and take your pick from the myriad popular videos.

Here is the CEO of Sweet Baby Inc suggesting you terrify marketing departments into hiring consultants like Sweet Baby Inc:

Why is it necessary to use fear to inject your consulting company into another company?

Anyway Grimmz, The Sweet Baby Inc Detected group had threads like this forum on their page. I watched the group and participated for a while. One of the things that struck me was the diversity there - different political affiliations, sexual orientations, genders - from all over the world. Evidently people don't like being categorized by their identity. Evidently most groups don't have a hivemind. Liberals and people from the LGBT community were out in force there.

But the thing that got me the most was a thread asking where everyone was from. There was representation from all over the world. How do you classify Steam members from all over the world as a single group?

Maybe a diverse group of people can see what is going on."

This is totally deserved hate, you don't diss Akira Toriyama on his death, that was foolish.
Just keep in mind it's a money grift.

Nothing political about it, that angle is just for the bandwagon of useful idiots.

We have to take out the bad actors and aggressors have to be accountable for their action as their behaviour enable people harassing each other as it makes everything toxic. The most disturbing truth that most of those people can be replaced so the vicious cycle continue.

Good thread!
I probably wouldn't have bought their games anyways, but now I will actively avoid them.

would be very interesting if Kim Belair was dumped by a hot white guy prior to her awokening

I think it's okay to say both sides of the political isle loved Akira Toriyama

Just a symptom of the ongoing "trickle down" to slavery. They are afraid violence in games will then inspire people to wake up to being slaves. Another form of mind control, wonder how many social credits it cost me to say that?

I'm not entirely sure what you're saying there, you might wanna learn to articulate yourself better but if you're trying to argue that Suicide Squad failed only because of Sweet Baby Inc.'s involvement and not because Suicide Squad is a bland, boring and repetitive game full of bugs, technical issues and micro transactions...

then you're just really really dumb

Sweet Baby Inc. may have some influence on character dialogue and game plot, sure

but they aren't responsible for programming the actual gameplay and all that stuff.

I don't care if grifters start a grifting consulting company.
If you have people dumb enough to pay for it let em.

I have accepted that most "journalists" are presstitutes who will satisfy whoever gives them money, hence I just ignore them.

What bothers me is the Department of Homeland Security is funding these initiatives and monitoring gamers as terror threats and the violation of 4th ammendment rights to police 1st ammendment speech.

Oh and normies, your little mobile games ALSO fall in this category.

Okay... And?

Look dude, I fully admit that when the Dead Space Remake came out early 2023, I was a little bummed out that the devs shaved off Isaac Clarke's beard to make him look younger. I was a bit bummed out about this because I like guys with beards. but at the end of the day...

the game was a lot of fun to play.

I had a blast playing Dead Space Remake so this change from beard to clean shaven for the main character didn't really influence how the game ended up playing and how much fun I ended up having.

I mean...

Are you trying to argue that Alan Wake 2 is going to play entirely different and potentially be less fun because the main character has a different skin color now?

I hope not 'cause that's pretty dumb.

And besides, if you really care so much about it, you could always just mod the game.

Sure, might take a little bit of work and effort but retexturing one single ingame character model should be easy enough.

You got any idea how easy it is to find retextures or character replacers for games like Star Wars Jedi Survivor or Resident Evil 4 Remake if you don't want to play as the default character? Really easy. Incredibly easy.

This really isn't something worth getting this upset over, dude...

Well the Patriot act made it illegal to disagree with the government... just think, not even speak it.
2011 NDAA brought in the law that the military could arrest you without right to trial.

"Rights" are only words on paper if you don't have a right to get in front of a judge.
We lost our Rights 13 years ago and no one noticed .... why bring it up now? Over a video game consulting firm?

Yes.... because everyone who wants to call out corruption in the gaming journalism industry must be a far right troll.

Here's why Gamergate was overblown in two easy to digest videos:

All in all, you should stop listening to these people, as corruption runs rampant in the industry, be it games journalism, regular journalism, or even Wikipedia.

I'd say go a step further and bar every single one of these "people" from the journalism occupation until they demonstrate they clear out all corruption and stop lying, but then that might fall under a rule break, so I won't say it. Doesn't mean I don't believe it though.

You tried sayign they have no impact. I showed you how they had one and then you try and write it off.

The reason why its a problem is because these companies can't have women or the like with character flaws. They can't grow as people and always have to be shown as the best people in the world. Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring. Nobody wants to read/watch a story about a perfect awesome person thats totally the best.

Here is the later point though. The character already existed and was white. Why the ♥♥♥♥ did she need to be turned into a black woman and why the ♥♥♥♥ is a game called Alan Wake not spent playing the person named Alan Wake.

Games are not being designed for fun they are being design to show us how some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ identity is awesome and better than the person we all showed up to enjoy.

Whats hard about understanding when I go to watch and Indiana Jones movie I want to enjoy Indy's character and not some narcissistic women that is being promoted as perfect.... :conwayheadscratch:
