yes both in spieces and numbers.

insects are included in animalia.,.
there are way way more of them both in spiecies and number..

if you say only mammals..
than still yes. if counting numbers (there are quite a lot of mice and such that are mammals)
in spieces.. I am inclined to also say yes.. but less certain off that answer...

well it depends what you mean by large..
lenght.. height.. volume.. mass..

mass :
lions are 120-180kg for femalea and 150-250kg for males that makes them heavier than most humans (americans may be the exception:)

length male lions are about 2.7-3 meters and female lions about 2.5 meters
and thats not counting a 0.6 to 0.9m tail
thats taller than humans (even than us dutch;)

however on 4 legs they are 1.2m so they stand shorter than most humans..

Wouldn't that be insects? There's literally Trillions of those around the entire planet, also mosquitoes killed around 100 billion humans through history, if my memory isn't mistaken.

We're a medium-large sort of sized animal. So, a "medium++" or "large-" size, IIRC, last I looked at such info. :)

We are on the far-end of the spectrum in terms of biomass for our size. IIRC, only one animal our size, a type of seal, is more numerous and could have a larger biomass on Earth.

I'm sure there's some biomass comparison Google results out there, somewhere.
