Is brave the best browser?
Brave is the new Firefox. Once you get used to it, you can see the difference. Also, there are no advertisements.

Chrome is the new IE, a sucking slow browser.

Edge is a virus.

Firefox is like netscape, still good but disappearing because of the lack of money for it.

I've heard that story a LOT. Brave seems to have a history of doing stuff like this

Nah, Firefox is still good. And Brave is still Chrome in a different skin (as in it shares the same engine), so its not free from Googles influence.

Firefox, unlike everything else, isn't Chromium.

I gave up on Opera because of this.

Also: Startpage/Proton if you want to give Google less information.

Brave is pretty good.

Firefox is unfortunately run by the usual poz squad and so can't be trusted.

Waterfox is an alternative.

Edge sadly is now better than Chrome. Things like the read aloud feature are often useful for multitasking.

I'd pick Vivaldi over Opera or Brave. I still use Firefox as my main.

Someone recommended Brave to me.
I installed Firefox.
It wouldn't hurt to try.
That is if I remember.

The fact it's been developped with chromium doesn't mean anything. Chrome and brave are 2 different browsers.

Chrome is my choice, great for development

Is Brave getting you shadowbanned from Reddit?

I know TOR does because the Reddit servers think your connection is weird and you might be a bad boy, so they just shadowban your ass shortly after you make your account.

Brave is also similar to TOR, I think?

The founder of Brave managed to be Mozilla CEO just for a couple of days before it became public knowledge that he donates to causes seeking to abolish equal marriage rights in California. Was forced to step down, obviously - because that's against the ethical principles of various companies and foundations.

He then went and founded (out of frustration, perhaps?) this comprehensive crypto network, where the browser itself is just a side product. That's why you see all the ad programs in Brave, rewards, even their own cryptocurrency being present and shoved down people's throats.

It's a scheme. It's not even a legitimate browser.

Anyone who wants an actual browser but does not want to use Chromium, should use Firefox.

No. Brave is not what it's cracked up to be, and it's definitely not the ethical browser it pretends to be.
