I had constant "Acid reflux" or "heartburn" ever since highschool then I found out years later that is was high fructose corn syrup causing it. Once I cut that out, which is not easy in America where even bread has HFCS, my acid reflux and heartburn went away almost overnight. Same thing with the "artificial sweeteners" avoid them! It is better to just stick to the simple stuff.
The only sodas I'll ever treat myself to is mexican coca-cola with regular sugar and caramel, and Pepsi or Mountain Dew Throwback, or Dewshine.
Otherwise I stick to water because sodas should only be a treat and not used for hydration/thirst.
Mountain dew seems like a heavy unhealthy drink tbh.
I'd better stay away from that or I will become a COD slave.
Sadly I don't like coffee or tea at all so I drink my 2-3 Diet-Dew's a day for the caffeine. After decades, I probably glow in the dark and am possibly radioactive by now, but ... I just don't care.
Oh gawds, Diet sodas are even worse than sugar sodas because they don't suppress your Appetite... People actually get fatter drinking diet drinks than they do drinking plain sugar drinks.
Logic.
I haven't gained any weight from drinking them and I don't eat any more than I did 30 years ago. Never believe all the diet studies papers like to headline shout about to be absolute. Not to mention, another 20 years and they'll probably change their minds again.
I'm already close to 50. I don't care.
3 teaspoons of sugar vs 3 teaspoons of chemicals.
