Just dust it like the rest off us. A cloth, some wood cleaner and dust it once every few weeks. Ta-Da!

Put an old bed sheet over it when you're not using it.

Others have given a simple method, so I will state a complex one.

Create a negitive pressure zone in side the room you want to stay clean of dust. This means making the room air tight, with a large amount being sucked out through a vent (with a filter) and a smaller amount of air being pulled in through another vent (also with a filter).

This will cause any and all dust that makes it into the room, to get sucked out, while leaving you air to breath and keep circulating to remove the heat from your computer.

Does the exhaust vent really need a filter?

No, but depending on where it vents to (and what he had for lunch) it may be the polite things to do.

To prevent dust:

1) Stop dead skin flaking off
2) Stop hairs falling out
3) Do not use any fibrous materials
4) Eradicate any/all biological entities such as mites
5) Do not operate electrical machinery which may generate charge fields (i.e. computer, screen, etc.)
