Anybody know how to delete save files on Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town?

Just got this today and the previous owner used both save slots. I know I can delete one save by overwriting it, but how can I delete both without having two saves?

Tried Google, and only found ways to delete GBA data for other games. I don’t really use any of the other platforms. Either way, the problem is solved now.

Okay well one more post then. I have a spare copy of this game and I tried deleting a save file with button combinations as the game started up. I pressed lots of buttons as the game started and I don't know what the combination is though. Sorry. Good luck OP.
