So 50% just it being good alcohol, since it doesn't have anything else in it and thus isn't subject to covalent ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but is also subject to a dedicated class of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ which remove acute brain functions like quality assessment, unlike other alcohols.
Being unable to properly assess the quality of life is the main draw of alcohol, and being unable to tell that you're doing that is nice for some.
But where's the joy in drinking something that tastes like nothing and can easily kill you?

Also, the quality of vodka is important too. Most stuff sold in the U.S. is made with rice (think bathtub sake) which requires several filterings, the real stuff is made with potatoes and only needs to be filtered three times to remove the impurities.
