The base game is great and they added loads of QoL improvements compared to its predecessor.
But for the price you pay, you'd think there would be more content and less bugs.
At least we can admit that console players have lower standards.
Who is "we"?
Well, if you insist RE 4 is "perfect," it goes without saying you don't have high standards for responsive or smooth shooting mechanics. That's your right.
I don't think that is even a controversial statement. People gush over 4 for the story & the atmosphere. The tank-control movement and QTE-riddled gameplay is usually the least fondly remembered part. That's why they dumped in it in 7 to make it play more like an FPS. That's the game devs talking, not me.
You know it's okay to admit things you liked when you were ten didn't age well or have bad design based on tech limitations.
I loved Wolfenstein 3D as a kid, and god knows it plays like crap. Jesus, grow up.
Ugh, what a delusional take. Even the devs thought the game needed major fixes.
The remake changed the janky controls to make it play more smoothly and added basic features that other games had back in 1998, and they removed most of the horribly-dated QTEs.
I guess the devs must be elitists with bad taste too, right?
Remember my joke that RE fandom was like a cult, blinded by nostalgia? This is exactly what I was referring to.

The day before.
It's so terrible, the store link doesn't even work in the forums anymore.
it was supposedly a slightly hyped survival game. But it flopped badly lmao
that and that fascist site nexus.
How is it racist?
Yeah imagine exploring space in real life, pretty sure you’d find a friendly neighbourhood alien with an interesting quest on every planet waiting for you, right?
Anyway, to me the worst game of the year was The Last Of US Regurgitated Edition on pc. Such a terrible port, I almost never have stability problems with games but this one got me really bad. How could such a big and yellow company like $on¥ allow such crap?
