I was doing anakin, since at that point in the campaign my players had decided to spring a plot they'd been sub-plotting because they resented Anakin's presence; and also wouldn't just kill him for some reason despite leaving hints he was a false prophet. so that was my actual line in and out of character.

but that's also the line he says in the movie see. in the office.

so how was I vamping the eu if that moment provoked genuine confusion?

either way the video can promote more cosplaying or answer something.

canonically palpatine just dominates anakin in the office and runs him like a puppet until he becomes vader. he's a gmpc fake mcguffin the pcs used to kingmake themselves for an empire.

it's just palpatine trying to torture kenobi by creating all these false equivalencies and memes about their relationship, but he's compeltely out to lunch in reality.

then a different group ran the after stuff and someone else dm'd, and palpatine died self-sucking to a pc that had been completely absent the entire session and was being run by the gm using arbitrary justice rolls. this is very apparent in 9 where almost every action rey takes is as sudden and decisive as a d20.

it's like poetry.
