Well considering Cleopatra was likely part greek, I highly doubt they are gonna give up anything from her.
I am just that powerful my friend you can't fathom me.
Even though I disagree with the inaccurate historical portrayal in the series and identity politics involved, I think they have the right to create bull like that. And as they got near-universally panned for it and as long as they don't copyfraud public domain cultural goods foreign to them (like a certain other media monster does), I think Egyptian history and culture will come through this unscathed.
Still, I get the anger driving this lawsuit.
Not even. This video is massively irresponsible with its claims. Watching the video, it seems as if there was not even a ruling yet. The video title should be more along the lines of Egypt Sues Netflix for 2 Billion Over Cleopatra, since Netflix hadn't lost anything at the time it was posted.
It was posted a month ago though.
I was more making a joke that if the Egyptians get their stuff back, maybe greece will ride that same wave and get their stuff back.
If not, are they suing over a bad casting decision?
If so, I [emotionally] hope they go after Aquaman[www.imdb.com] next.
Aquaman is supposed to be blonde!!!
(And Aquaman of Earth One and Two Pre-Crisis was REAL. Before Crisis all alternate Earths existed in the multiverse including the actual real one we live on today.)
Better yet, sue all the Arrowverse shows that had Crisis on Infinite Earths on it... Crisis on Infinite Earths says that the multiverse was destroyed, but guess what... we're still here! So not hard to prove that Crisis was lie.
later some photographer also had to pay money
it's one thing to ♥♥♥♥ up with your own culture religion etc
it's another to mess with someone else's and honestly this is the few times egypt is pretty based for doing so.
basically at this point it's a smear campaign
Absolutely based and truthpilled take. Glorious.
A big joke for me and my friend was how they keep acting like everyone wants to get out of Jury duty, whereas I'd love to set a jury straight on anything they might be confused about.
They make a big fuss about how you need to send in a letter from your doctor if your medically unfit. Oh horrors....
So, hypothetically, if I'm medically unfit, but want to serve, I won't send in the letter I don't have and won't ask for so I get to serve anyways? Sounds good to me.
I just turned something else about first-hand jury experience into a top level post here:

They had that jury duty show that CONSTANTLY advertised on prime
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jury_Duty_(2023_TV_series)
in the promos for the show one of the jurors during the selection when they asked why they shouldn't have to serve and he says cause he's racist and that it made me laugh everytime. I really should watch that series.
Netflix needs to do shows like that thats good watching.
stand by everything else though
people love kpop
It would of done way better than what we got thats for sure and then it could of been a docudramamusical. Oh man. OH MAN! THAT SOUNDS GOOD!
We can’t all have good taste
