Console PC build?
If you were gonna build a PC but make it look like a console what console would it look like? Which console interface would you use?

How would one build a PC that's as close to the consoles as possible? Hypothetically speaking. I'm curious if it could still play games and what sort of games it could play?

I would wanna build a handheld if all possible or a very portable desktop that the screen and controls are just right there even if it's a box you plug into. Personally steams big picture mode is such a great concept. Does windows have a big pic mode? I know you can have steam startup that way.

Ive heard of ppl gutting out a console and making a PC out of the shell. They get rpi and emulate the console but it's a soc. Is there a PC build that is more of a console PC?

You're missing the point.

You cannot just globally look at a console and say "that's old" because it's not the sum of its parts. SOme bits are better, some are worse.

In other words, because of this, it means your argument about it doesn;t mean anything.

It is proven by what it produces.

Cool, then demonstrate it. Don't assert a handwaving claim like that.

The fact remains they aren't as you claim for the reason I've just shown.

You don't get to just assert .

I asserted nothing.. It's factual.

They would have taken it down if I was wrong.

And you're still missing the point.

I said yes, in some ways they are in others they aren't.

The point is this makes your claim about this moot. This is really basic logic.

You can't go back and magic new games for the systems, so yes it is true when nearly all games function better than X on Y console.

Is there a PC build that is more of a console PC? like has the look and feel of a console? or being the closest thing to a console you can get?

Also guys emulation exists. I recommend retrobat for 64 bit pcs but if you have 16 bit or need an arm version try retropi or retroarch

Mini ITX motherboard with small form factor GPU. Probably it will be more like PS5 but black edition or something like that.

they actually have a pc case that looks like an xbox series x. which is epic. but what about software? steam does have a big pic mode and you can do that on startup but is that really the best way? could very well be the easiest.

i would like to build these and try to sell them. mass producing may not be possible as that would be a lot of money but itll be cool to sell some of these if they can be made. i want more players on the pc but in order to do this i need to make a pc thats super simple to use. maybe it can have retrobat, steam and gamepass/ ps now? it can be on the desktop too.

what other software would be good for this?

Windows 10 has a "tablet mode" that is closer to Windows 8.1 and Steam's big picture mode, so you can make shortcuts of the games which will trigger the launcher anyway. Keeping the PC functions side with the console side is something that is seen very well in handheld consoles.

I HATE consoles.. so I simply would not.

I could try to build a sleeper pc in the case of an old commendore 64...
but that is called a pc already.

I would NOT use the C64GS.. just the regulair beige C64 case

This already fulfills all your requirements.

The whole point of a PC is that it's better than a console.

I know this aint a console, but if i could make my PC look like something, I would make it look like a old PC from the 1990s or 2000s.
In samish though process here but in modern setting much sleeker keyboard chassi and mechanicall keys, maybe a pci slott on the back for extarnall gpu but if you dont want one you could drive ut with cpu/gpu instead with a modern os.
