Do you like buying games or PC parts better?

You mean software versus hardware?

I don't buy PC parts generally as I've always games on laptops. I like things easy as I play on a lot of platforms. By having a laptop sat by the side of my bed, ready to go without faffing around, it keeps things simple.

So games all the way.

Plus I never buy games anywhere near release. In part because I ALWAYS wait for reviews because duh. And partly because I always buy games when they're cheap either new or second hand.

I tend to read reviews and give them a loose value of what I THINK they're worth. When they reach that price, I buy them.

Doesn't matter if I have to wait years. And that's how I've amassed many thousands of games.
What do you like better, OP?

Probably games right now. I'm curious to see what Nvidia does with the 50 Series though.

games
hardware... I have enough games for multiple lifetimes, but always interesting to build a new setup - even if it's from scrapped or cheap parts, or brand new top of the line.

Hardware is consistently more exciting. If its a big multiplayer game thats come out then that's just as good.
games. I've never bought PC parts

although i am planning on buying my dream PC soon... I'm still torn between wether to buy the parts and put it together myself, or buy a pre -built one.

I've never put a computer together so I'm afraid id mess something up. but idk
I'm kinda addicted to buying games even when I tell myself I'm not going to buy some I still end up buying some. Like in the sale last week I thought the sale was crap and nothing was discounted as much as I wanted so I wasn't gonna buy anything but I still ended up getting about 5 games or more.

I got

Colony Ship: A Post-Earth Role Playing Game
Age of Decadence
Stranded: Alien Dawn
Banner of the Maid
Graviteam Tactics: Mius-Front
The Front

And that's all I got. 5 games.

They both go hand in hand.
I love hardware too though but I get out of touch with hardware when I'm not building a PC. It's like I build a new PC and then I don't look at hardware again for 4-5 years. And then I feel like building a new PC so I start looking up what I can build and what kind of deals I can get. I don't spend a lot building PCs though, I usually just build high-end for 1080p, which these days is very affordable so you don't even need to spend a lot.

It's up to you. I know a lot of people will probably say to build it, but you can get a lot New Years deals on pre-builts. I'm personally too lazy to build myself, but upgrading the GPU or storage shouldn't be too difficult.

Thank you. Yeah I think I'm just gonna go with pre-built. I saw a lot of people online saying you should always put it together urself, but I don't think anything's wrong with a pre-built one

Yeah, building your first PC can be quite intimidating, it helps if you have a friend who knows what they are doing. My friend was busy when I built my first PC so I ended up doing it myself and it was a breeze. But I still had to look things up to make sure I was doing it right. I think I remember watching some videos about how to apply the thermal paste properly and there were a few different methods. I do the thin even spread method.

The thermal paste part is what I immediately thought of that I would mess up lol. I can't even spread butter on toast properly, i know I'd put too much on
