Yes, but only as a lesson NOT to trust adults or authority figures when they grow up.
Let them remember some sort of childhood magic before the crushing reality of adult life ruins all the magical things they knew as kids.
You'd be amazed at how well lying to kids all through their childhood turns them into jaded adults who don't trust anyone in a position of power over them.
We've already told ours that Santa is just a story. But of course we still have fun with it.
