You mean sadists are more ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up than masochists?
I'd say they're both ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.
if you loosen the terms i am pretty sure 99 % of world population is pain suffering, just think of all the people who have to go to work everyday, to school, to study, to hospital etc, less than 1 percent is not pain suffering and the rest of 1 percent is probably pain delivering.
As such pain can very easily become any sensation you want it to, and the brain will tend towards interpreting it as any sensation one has been missing a lot of.
Thus it becomes an easy way to seek mental equilibrium, without necessarily having to track every emotion ones brain experiences and in what quantities every day.
Depends on if it is regular pain and suffering, or SEXY pain and suffering.
There are A LOT of people into the latter one.
Is it for similar reasons to how anyone can develop a foot fetish with the slightest nudge in that direction? In your opinion.
Is it something intrinsic, or even a choice people make, or something that winds up happening?
Is it 'wrong,' or divergent from the norm, or just different?
As I sort of said earlier, the brain tends to 'guess' what it's experiencing when it feels pain. So if there's an emotional sector that's being neglected the brain will 'feel' it in response to pain.
And if you're used to feeling pain sometimes you don't notice the pain that triggered your neglected feelings.
So it feels good. Cathartic. Like a release.
Just like sex does.
