It got countless men to reject masculinity and gender styerotypes. And broke the furry fandom apart. It even got its own 4chan board. It got countless mods for games, and its own fan games. It got people into self hypnosis, tulpas, etc. And was one of the first modern cartoons to highlight how important good songs can be for a show.

But it did fall off a cliff after the second season. And that cliff was called Alicorn twilight.

From Japan: JoJo for sure. There are other good anime for sure but imo JoJo is just too much better than anything else, thanks both to David Production and also the source material from Hiroiko Araki which was amazing as a manga as well*

From the USA it is harder to pick just one, the first three that comes to my mind are The Simpsons, The Real Ghostbusters and Duck Tales, but there are other good ones too so it is very hard to decide.

Talking about USA cartoons I'd like to mention the fact that many animated movies are much less good that they could potentially be because of those annoyingly stupid songs that the characters all of a sudden start to sing in the most immersion breaking way.
Even when I was a kid and I liked those songs I still hated the way they were shoehorned inside the cartoon in such an immersion breaking way.

*(except Golden Wind of course. Golden wind just suck. Thankfully it is just a pointless filler with no consequences.)
