1. Pollution from fireworks doesn't matter when a single volcanic eruption can put out more pollution in a single day than all of humanity in a hundred years.
2. Don't be stupid.
3. Plenty of people like fireworks. Get some ear plugs or don't live next to Disneyland.
Every time I see fireworks go off I know it's less and less batteries for our future which China owns the majority of the mines where they farm the Lithium. The fireworks use a lot of Lithium to make the pretty effects which is why some places are going to water shows to ease off the use of it. Lithium really is a finite supply and think of the millions of phones that the Lithium go to and now smoke alarms with 10 year (sealed) batteries many states now enforce.
yeah that's what i'm talking about. same thing happens here. people get mutilated due to local customs that demand that people hold the fireworks with their bare hands while they light them up and turn them looking upwards while they burn. but they blow up and people lose hands eyes etc. pretty gory.
Part of the extremes on both ends it seems.

Note there seems to be several versions of this as the one we had had a picture of NYC skyline while others seem to have SF Golden Gate Bridge with different music then ours though the songs are on this list here.https://www.lemon64.com/game/complete-computer-fireworks-celebration-kit
welp to each their own, they're not bad outside of crowded living areas though tbh, but if people dont lose their parts and babies and pets don't get spooked eh it's not bad
Most U.S. states have restrictions on the types of fireworks the general public can purchase. If you're seeing the more dangerous stuff go off, then odds are that the laws are already being disregarded anyway.
Public firework displays are done by trained pyrotechnicians to minimize the risk. Seeing pretty lights flash in the skies is fun. It's not all that dangerous if you do it right either.
As things stand the risks are small. Only 10,000 people suffered from fireworks related injuries in the U.S.A.[www.usatoday.com], and only 11 died in 2022.
In a country with hundreds of millions of people, 11 are relatively few, and you are never going to render life perfectly safe.
To be fair, the reason alcohol isn't banned isn't for lack of trying. The main reason it isn't banned is because trying to ban it is futile as the ingredients are basically everywhere life can survive.
Keeping it legal also prevents people from trying to make their own moonshine. Leaving it to the professionals reduces odds of going blind because of methanol toxicity caused by improperly distilled moonshine.
