The mouse can move but cannot be clicked
Hello, anyone can help me? I have something problem in here. On my laptop actually, my laptop can't click anything even im using eksternal mouse. But is still can right click, and drag some shortcut (only on dekstop page) I have tried various methods, starting from uninstalling Microsoft and other pointing devices in the device manager. Then, I restarted Windows Explorer in the task manager, End task for Windows Explorer, and run a new task again . I even attempted to tweak the mouse properties, which provided a temporary solution at the time. However, the issue persists, and I cannot click when I turn on the laptop.

Sorry guys if my English bad, but i need help for this problem, even my work has disturbed because of this problem

Maybe a faulty switch? Or take your mouse apart and clean it

problem is not coming from my mouse, because I tried it on my computer and the mouse still works normally. I used an external mouse on the laptop to try whether it could click or not and is still no effect. problem same when I use the touchpad on the laptop (can't click anything)

Could just be touch pad manufacturer coding sloppily, nothing you can really do then
Do you have any other mice to try and see if it still happens?
Have you tried hard restarting windows?
Have you tried using a different USB port?
Have you tried powering down and turning your system back on?
Are you using any driver software for the mouse?

Use system restore to go back to a time it was working. This all depends on how far back you can go. Also warning you will lose any software/games you installed after that system restore point was made.
Try check the touchpad software. Sometimes it can disable other input.
Also try other USB ports or unplug any port extension. It can be hardware failing to supply sufficient power.

mybe this can be Last option, but I try not to do this first because maybe there is a way that can handle the problem.. so i keep it that suggestion

You could try the device manager first, update or rollback mouse drivers.
Or fiddle with the mouse settings in windows. See if there's a way to reset it to default settings.

Have you also checked if anything in accessibility options is in the way?

The only other thing I can think of is a low battery on wireless. But obviously wired mice don't have that issue.
Virus and malware check?

Can you hover the mouse over stuff and hit Enter to trigger it?

Been to any shady sites, running any questionable software?

OS repair options?

1. Already,When this problem first appeared, the first step was i do is a virus scan, and the results there was no suspicious identity or anything like that
2.Nope, just only moving pointer mouse, drag some shortcut and right click but , I can do all that just on the desktop page
3.Last time i seeing my brother open some movie web, and I thought that was the cause, but before that, I also carried out file transfer from my SD card camera. So it's possible these two things triggered this problem, because after that my laptop couldn't click anything (but when i scanning virus there's coud't find anything sus)
4. I'll try it

3. last i'didnt wireless mouse but hehehe
Mouse needs cheese.
If you don't have it you can grab Malwarebytes for free from the web. Find main source not through some "helper" site that will add stuff.

It can find stuff normal virus checks can't.
Nice to have anyway even if it finds nothing at this point.
