Do you prefer Chinese, Japanese or Korean culture?
I prefer Japanese culture, but also i like the other cultures as well.

If you don't like any of these, just ignore this thread.

Every culture has to have its charms or it would cease to be a culture. I like a little bit about all of them and more as I discover more. :steamhappy:

Poland. Because the LGBMNO F grade restaurant Chefs may outnumber the Winged Hussar's 15 to 1. But we all know the score when it comes to the Hussar's.

Germany, if you wish for more specifically, Nazi Germany, that said its the same with how the Yuan Dynasty allied both Korea and China together in their invasion, hence why it has the umbrella term of "Mongol Invasion" as it was both China and Korean invaders, not just a single nation.
Before the Mongol leader decided to invade Japan, both Korea and China lost many of their people from the Mongol invasion and occupation. They weren't allied to Mongolia. They were under control of Mongolia.

The amount of misinformation and racist comments here... lol.
And it's obvious that the ones who posted the misinformation have never been to those countries.

Depends on what people are saying, frankly.

It ain't racist if they just are unaware or misinformed - racism is a very deliberate intention, so don't misuse that term.

As far as it goes many people in the west do get asian culture round their necks. I certainly don't pretend to know much about it, as even today it's sometimes pretty closed off and different, especially China.

But if you're instead referring to negative comments about China then that ain't racist or misinformed either. China has a SHED load of problems.

From when the communist party took over and the "moderates" left for Taiwan, Mao caused some massive howlers for decisions. From making people go into the "great leap forward" by doing outrageous things like metallurgy instead of agriculture, to destroying ancient cultures and buildings.

These have had massive impact today. It's a major reason why Chinese metal is often garbage comparatively, and why Cha Bu Duo construction holds sway.

So in that regard, if you mean that's misinformed then no, it demonstrably isn't.

I don't know a thing about Korean culture tbh. In western countries China and Japan is often discussed and shown (in the media and at school etc), but Korea never. Only thing I know about it is the Korean war in the '50s.
This is because Korea, just like Japan, where not opened to the world. Only China was, and they will trade worldwide, for instance the Silk Road.

It's hard to make a comparison, only the Mongol Empire at some point was relevant, but it won't last as long as China. Do keep in mind that Japan was seen by Ancient China as a barbaric island. It's a bit like the Roman Empire and Britannia.

Korea and Japan will start to open to the world few hundred of years ago. Korea did not have an empire for instance.

Today everybody knows Korean culture, not their history, but if you think about music and movies, and expecially Samsung that sells more than Apple, you should get an idea.
