Is that a recent remaster?
Having personal taste is ignorant? Wow.
P.s. thriller is the biggest selling album of all time.
No, it's a few years old now. This was Vertigo label so part of BMG Universal iirc.
Although saying that, many groups like Pink Floyd have their own masters now and just turn out remasters on their own label.
I have Dark Side of the Moon and Wish you Were Here remasters from 2009 which are stunningly good (better than previous efforts) and on the Pink Floyd label instead of EMI/Harvest.
These tend to be pretty good, and I recommend you have a nose on Discogs for some info as to what's good (or Record Collector) as there's anumber of good ones these days. I've been avidly going for the Beatles remasters in recent years as they sound fantastic on my stereo.
The Pink Floyd ones though, for example are reprinted exactly as they were released - DSOTM comes with the poster and postcards too, and Wish you were here comes in the plastic bag with the postcards and ♥♥♥♥.
As far as I'm aware (as I haven't bought them yet) the rest of the early Black Sabbath stuff is equally remastered well.
Where did I say ANYTHING about personal taste in any way?
I didn't. I asked you if you'd HEARD of them. Nothing more. I don't like Rolling Stones much but I've heard of them and own a few CDs. My wife can't stand Led Zeppelin but she's obviously heard of them.
That's why I said that most of these are record breakers around the world.
Dark Side of the Moon is the biggest charting record of all time. In the UK alone it sat in the charts non stop for over 40 years.
New Order's Blue Monday (which the Cure often spoke of as it came out the same time as The Walk and had similar aspects) is the biggest selling 12" of all time.
So I never addressed what you think I said.
Biggest would imply sales. Either way you immediately attacked me and called me ignorant after I said there are only 2 good british bands, that's my opinion and I'm entitled to it.
Out of your list I think 2 are ok, namely queen and the prodigy, and even then only a few select songs. The rest I'd argue are mostly overrated or I haven't really given them a listen.
Did I say that? Please demonstrate where. I'll wait.
I never asked you if they were OK. I don't care if you hate them.
I only pointed out the curiosity why you hadn't HEARD of them. Is there a language issue here?
There most certainly appears to be, yes. You know what you said, you really need me to quote it all?
Why would I hate them? That makes zero sense. I also never claimed that I haven't heard of any of those bands, my initial post stated that there are 2 good british bands and you escalated it from there.
Your initial post "Britain has bands".
I tackled that EXACTLY by pointing out many well known global bands Britain has. That's all.
I said nothign about you liking them, not liking them, smearing them with jam, or calling them Malcolm the strange puppy.
Again please demonstrate evidence where I made ANY such claim.
LOL that was clearly a joke.
Here.

It means you are BEING ignorant.
For example, if you said "Cucumbers are insects" I'd tell you that you are making a silly claim.
Does that mean YOU are silly? Nope.
Learn the difference please.
So again, you said Britain has bands? And I responded with htose bands and that's all. When you said what you siad, that WAS an ignorant claim then.
It does NOT mean I called you entirely ignorant.
No your reply was to me saying I only know of 2 that are good. That's clearly not ignorant as I've sampled many of them.
P.s. I am pretty silly.
