do we really need deodorant?
Deodorants contain chemicals which have the ability to cause cancer and other diseases. It can disrupt thyroid hormones and create gangs of bacteria in your armpits. Personally, I don't see the appeal; I do not wear deodorant and I have never had anyone tell me I smell bad. I prefer to stay natural and not risk anything if I smell fine without it.

Hygiene is very important to me.

Fun fact but I brush my teeth in the shower as well. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
I mean, 2 times a day is a major overkill, you're just killing your body with all the chemicals and ♥♥♥♥. I wouldn't shower everyday either if my hair wouldn't get greasy after sleeping, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying.

Also the brushing teeth in the shower is smart, you should also shave there too. 3 birds with one stone.
I don’t shave sadly. I wax.

Daarn, the lengths you go to. 😳I always used to feel bad for girls that they have to take 5 hours everyday to get themselves ready, I think you share the same burden.
Not really. I don’t always look like my profile picture. I wax because I don’t like the feeling of hair except on my eyebrow and my head.

Wrong lol, like I've explained, I shower everyday, yet I still need to use deodorant. People are just built differently.

The smell come from the sebum produced by your apocrine glands and the bacterias hydrolyzing triglycerides in it. It produce various acids with the smell we attribute wrongly to sweat itself. Sweat is just water, minerals and some other substances produced by your skin in very tiny amounts, it smell nothing.

If it smell something you have hygiene problems, you're not special.

That's just your limited opinion, you can't tell me I don't handle my hygiene well, when I literally do. I simply sweat a ♥♥♥♥ ton. I literally go through winter with a t-shirt and a jacket, that's it. Otherwise I get too hot.

Believe what you want, but sweat still smell nothing. The smell come from something else. Because, again, sweat is water, minerals and a few other substances in tiny amounts. A lot of peoples today have bad hygiene without even knowing it, because they don't take the time to do their tasks correctly.

Humans lived for thousands of years without it, so it seems the answer is no.

I use fragrances but only half or one spray. It's more to feel fresh and to stay awake.

It's possible deodorants are being incorrectly associated in with antiperspirants, as they are two different things. Deodorants do just that, they fight odor, but don't reduce sweat. Antiperspirants have drugs (here in the US if you buy a stick of deodorant, there is no "Drug Facts" box on it but there is with antiperspirants) and they often include aluminum in order to actually reduce sweat and there has been lots of speculation that they may have a relationship to cancer, particularly breast cancer but as far as I know most studies so far have not found conclusive evidence to support this speculation.
