For a minute there I thought I was reading a post from a newsgroup post in the late 1990s
Its just another interface, with lots of more layers above.
Its a native client app built over a web browser that acts as a proxy to Usenet.
It all runs on some dude's personal server, at his mother's attic. There is just a lot of cacheing involved.
Total annihilation of course.
