What gaming chair do you use?

I'm in the market for a new chair, and there's a million to choose from, all with price ranges from 150 to 600$ Reviews always throw me off, some say the wheels break easily, or the armrests suck, or it just isnt comfortable. There's a lot of factors that make good chairs and the most expensive chairs arent always the best. So just looking to get some input on what other people are using and find to be of good value.

Chairs actually take quite a bit of research and personalizing to your own body size.

The first thing you should do is weigh yourself and measure your height. Unless the chair has an adjustable base, head rest and back lumber support, you need to calculate those in too.

The material matters too, as most leathers will be hot and sweaty. You need it to breath. A quality chair will giving you the prolonged sitting comfort hours stats.

PU leather is artificial leather but more breathable for gaming chairs. Yet it can tear and rip apart over time. Consider how the chair is structured in parts. A quality chair will section it out.

Mesh is much more breathable for prolonged usage, but lower quality mesh will stretch out and deform over time.

I did a lot of research into that Vertagear Triigger 350, it's mesh quality, back support and the features, etc. A quality chair, specially if working/gaming a lot each day in, will save you thousands in back and posture problems later in life.

Office chairs tend to be bigger and bulky, with better back support and strength for a longer lifespan.

Gaming chairs vary from high quality to cheap over-priced rubbish with a label, depending on what brand you get and the model. Then they vary depending on the person who sits in them, each will have a certain width/height/weight allowance.

Consider Vertagear or Noblechairs, which have a quality range. Others like DX Racer are pretty good at a cheaper range but will wear down faster over time.

The cheapest option would be a beanbag.

For gaming chair reviews, look up the ones which cut the chair in half. The insides of a chair matters the most to tell you it's real quality.

Just sit on one of those large exercise balls... they are only around $15 to $20.

You can increase lumbar (low back) mobility, Increase abdominal and back muscle strength, Increase balance and stability, Develop overall control and strength of the core body muscles, all while playing games!!!!!!! Its a win-win

I have a Secret Lab Titan Evo and quite like it.

I got the heavy duty model although the normal one would have just been OK but I wanted to make sure it was overbuilt.

Not disappointed.

The base was super heavy. Came in a box with the best instructions for anything I have ever seen. Even directions on how to remove stuff from the box to avoid damage.

Also like that the seat tilts independent of the back. Arm rest adjustments or can be removed/not installed.

Got the fake leather on it but I keep it covered to protect it anyway.

I was also worried about the castors but with the heavy duty set up I have no worries on this chair.

Had it for a while now and not even a squeak

I don't buy any products outside of games with the title "gaming" on it as those are, more often than not, absolute scams to sell absolute garbage at an inflated price.

So instead I just sit on a large "Bad Dragon" product.

I got a "GT Racing" chair. I think I paid £300 for it. I can sit in it comfortably all day, and after 8 years it's still as good as new.

Edit: Just googled it and can't find it now, only cheap rip offs.

I just got a new ergonomic mesh chair that's really really nice

I used to have one of those racer gaming type chairs.. but to be honest I much prefer a nice office chair instead, I think they're better

These are more comfortable, and more choices available, and cheaper than any of those uncomfortable "gamer" chairs

I buy one about every 5 years or so, and have used them for over 15 years (passing along the old one to someone else) - I am heavy so they get compressed over time and lose some of the original comfort.

look for the ones that are for boardroom / executive / leather etc - not the mesh ones and not the short ones. you can get them really cheap, around $170 with shipping and just do a bit of assembly to connect the arm rests and base.

After sitting in one of these, you can't go back to anything lesser.

mine was 120 euro
it is worn after a few years farting on, but it sit just as conmfortable as that expensive 800 euro chair I seen and it even have bigger arm rests than the expensive one.
