John Wick 5 is coming. I just wish they made a decent game instead of "Hex".
I watch Escape from New York yesterday. I wish there were more Snake Plisskin films.
Keanu Reeves is a good actor.
Not long ago I stumbled across one of his first real movies with other famous actors like Crispin Glover and Dennis Hopper.
The movie is called River's Edge.
It is about a close knit group of high school friends in their junior and senior year. One of them murders another one. The rest of them are more concerned about loosing another friend to police so they try to do everything to keep their murderous friend out of prison. The only one from the group who is thinking straight is the character played by Keanu Reeves.
The movie is loosely based on a real life incident not unlike is portrayed in this thriller crime drama.
I recommend watching it.
I've never even heard that name, and a quick check with Wikipedia suggests that it will never go on my shopping list.
Are these good movies? Some people might like them.
Do I like them? No.
How many people like Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Indiana Jones and The Crystal Skull, The Matrix Resurrections or Peter Jackson's hobbit trilogy? Rocky 4 is considered something of a guilty pleasure, perhaps even more-so than the average Rocky movie, and even Toy Story 4 isn't as well received as the first three movies.
Heck, The Terminator and Ghost Busters only had two good outings a piece. I'm also skeptical of Bill & Tedd Face the music since what I've seen of the trailer seems to undo much of what made Bogus Journey's climax so epic.
You only need two or three good outings for a series to achieve cinematic prestige, so it seems to me that the series likely isn't overrated if you're only finding something to complain about by the fourth entry.
You only have a very limited timeframe in which new entries of a series can be stylistically consistent with themselves, and insofar as movies go, the fourth entry is where production studios start getting weary of repeating the formula for success, and either start trying more experimental things or attempting to update and reboot the series for a new audience.
Basically, what I am saying is that you should expect to be disappointed in the fourth film of a franchise. John Wick might not ever be as good as it once was again, but if we're treating it fairly, it shouldn't have to be if those first three films lived up to the hype. You earn your legendary status by the third movie, and anything past that is just an overtime bonus round.
You will be blown away by both.
Both are on Netflix.
I can’t wait to see the future of John wick since there are 2 more spinoffs in the works like one about Sophia Halle baileys character from the third movie and one about the crime family that John wick was from in John wick 3.
And of course John wick 5 is still coming so I can’t wait to see it depending if it still gonna have keanu reeves because of the 4th ones ending.
Not everyone wants every movie to be some preachy French art-house thinly veiled porno that was made just to buy out the critics and get the top "Movie Snob" awards.
