Sexualised Female Characters in Games

I'm worried that female characters in games are starting to become desexualised because of SJWs. It happened with Lara Croft, started to creep into DOA6 and also (although I'm not a fan) Mortal Kombat. I've also noticed this with new female characters too being made to look less sexually attractive. I know that this is a push that modern feminists such as Anita Sarkeesian have started. I'm worried that in 10 or 20 years the SJWs will have totally stamped out sexiness in AAA games.

While I don't mind some new female characters being made to look more serious and relatable if it fits the tone of the game, I don't want sexy characters to become extinct. There's nothing wrong with attractive women in media. Everyone likes attractive people. Its ridiculous that people get so angry over something that it is totally natural to like. It might be jealousy or sexual repression or maybe both at the same time, but they need to get over it and stop trying to take away people's fun. If you don't like it then stay away from it and watch Disney movies or something.

Still haven't seen some ugly hag play the role of wonder woman for instance...

I have never been one that likes the giant boobs or the scant female armor, that being said, I do appreciate attractive female NPCs and my wife's cute characters. Making ugly NPC's for games is the current "woke" trend and I look forward to it's end.

There's plenty of pornographic video games and free porn widely available on teh interwebz.

"Sexualized" anything is not something that should be in generally released "video games."

That doesn't mean characters can't have that sort of appeal, it means that the appeal itself supports the narrative experience in a way that is not intended to be titillating or lascivious for its own sake.

Lara Croft can still be physically attractive without being "sexualized." In fact, a character like "James Bond" would need that physical appeal to support the narrative of a "007" game, but wouldn't need to go beyond that into "sexualization" of that character.

And yea, that doesn't mean that a woman can't have a feminine symmetrical face and/or figure.
I don't know how many sexualized Zoey sprays I've seen in my 1000+ hours of playing L4D2. Her character wears unsexy clothing, she is pretty flat, a horror movie nerd and shoots zombies. Same with the newer Lara Croft interpretations. Normal clothes and body type. Simps are still gonna simp because their sexual appeal is not dependent on them objecifying/sexualizing themselves. They are just normal women existing.

Every female has that aura. More or less. But it is ONLY visible by the other members of the same species. Like, can you tell which Rhinoceros is more sexy than other? It can only be SEEN by a Rhino.

When you apply this to those games, as long as you put a female human inside a game, you need to put ALL VERSIONS of females and males there, just as in life. There should be ugly ones, mediocre ones and charming ones. Same goes for males too.

It is THAT SIMPLE.

Either that's some dedication to a persona or to some extent they're genuine.

That thread is why I see it how I do. It feels like a parody of what people complaining about the uglification of women think. If you're not a supermodel then you're treated as if you're Ellie (well, how these people treat her, iirc the game itself is very respectful to her).
