exactly, it can be compared to the youtube dislikes situation:

youtube removes dislikes, people make an extension to bring them back, so a similar thing happens here, minecraft adds a lousy moderation system when servers did it just fine before, so people make a modification as a giant middle finger to those who are too prideful to admit they made a bad change

If there's one thing I've learned, the vocal and loud, angry minority is about as dangerous as a toothless old hound. :P

It doesn't bother me since I don't even play Vanilla Minecraft, and haven't since the Nether was added. :P

People who don't play the update, or found a way to bypass it have no reason to complain. Why is that concept so hard to understand?

Never heard of Minecraft getting a chat filter, guess that may be because I don't play minecraft at all and don't care for a game who's fundimental's are based on an ancient meme of how their 32-everything game is superior to 64-bit games, that and I got sick to death of literally seeing the horrific youtuber videos on it.

Last I even heard of Minecraft was some guy named Smile doing a face reveal and causing apparently the sundering of several minecraft planets and that was it.

We're talking about culture here, no? The cultures of these games are very similar, but Roblox ultimately has the better of the two.

That is the answer. People aren't complaining about the update anymore, because they also don't use the update.

1. Something happens that receives a spotlight.
2. People jump on the vocal bandwagon.
3. People get bored of riding the bandwagon.
4. People look for the next spotlight.
5. Rinse and repeat.

Its never about change, its about narcissism. That is why why pretty much any threats/boycotts made by protestors, activists and detractors are laughable. They place their self gratification far higher than their beliefs.

Mojang delayed the “update” saying there were issues and said it has a unknown release date personally I don’t think it should be added I mean yes I think censoring bad language in games is great but Minecraft rule felt like you could get banned falsely and never play singleplayer or Muitiplayer again from either ♥♥♥ accounts or just dumb people. I stopped playing Minecraft servers after I got hijacked 4 years ago and lost all my stuff on hypixel from a back door virus. So I barely go on the pc version or Xbox version to be honest.
