Interesting to see how it will go, I know the Text-to-speech was in prototyping for a while but nice to see its advanced a ton over the years
It is interesting, but I don't feel the need of something like that, I would not want to change my game this way.
On a side note, I find it weird how they modded the graphics of the game. They made it look very different than vanilla but not that much better (in fact to me it looks worse than vanilla Skyrim)
I can see that adding in the new AI along with the voice recognition would be totally immersive! Damn that would be fun!
Is this a mod for Skyrim?
What happens when every tiny NPC interaction that used to take 5 seconds because you just rush through the standard options, now becomes a full on chat bot conversation?
"Hey I need to buy 25 health pots."
"Hello! How are you today?"
"I need 25 health pots."
"I do have that for you. Are you here to make a purchase?"
"Yes."
"Lovely weather today in whiterun, isn't it?"
"Sure, yes, please can I have 25 health pots?!!"
"I'm sorry, was the quality of my small talk not up to par? Not all features of SuperAINPC are yet complete. If you have feedback, please let the developer know, we would love to hear from you!"
"Please can I have 25 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ health pots!!!"
"Sir! No need to be rude..."
*kills NPC and loots inventory*
I still prefer scripted events, thank you very much.
Also, I know there are other things that can be generated synthetically, like images, which can be performed on consumer-grade hardware; that is great to experiment with.
same old skyrim. ugggh. i cant stop focusing on those mouth movements lol.
If i want to talk to NPC's i can just head to my local starbucks.
thanks. pass.
