i sucked at the game, but man did i have fun.
I'm dying on a hill where I say this is the best Yakuza game of them all. The atmosphere, the soundtrack, the overall feel of the gameplay, it checks so many boxes about things I like. Jumping into it after being disappointed by K1 and K2 was magical.
chase the chuck wagon?
Yakuza Kiwami
Monster Hunter: World
Corpse Factory visual novel;
Flowers visual novels;
Grisaia visual novels;
Steins;Gate visual novels.
If I could choose only one.. I'd go be deciding between Corpse Factory, Steins;Gate, and the spring season of Flowers, dependable on my mood.
I've had a lot of fun while reading Corpse Factory, it was an interesting visual novel that I've never read.. It was something new, so the entertainment was there within the first few minutes of reading. I've absolutely loved it, but because there's just one story, getting back to it sounds like a waste of time, considering my nearly perfect memory..
When it comes to Steins;Gate.. I got really touched, nearly depressed afterwards.
Because of the lack of social interactions between me and the world, I've cried several times during the original one, and at least one during its sequels.
I've expected to get entertained a bit, but I sure didn't expect to get fond of the characters and their personalities.. As they've felt.. Real, which is quite rare in my eyes, especially in videogames, as there do tend to be some real flaws that do give them away and make them look all artificial and brought from somebody's mind instead of trying to picture a real person, featuring them into the game differently enough to never completely resemble the actual person who was the inspiration during the game's development.
As for Flowers.. Those were very sweet and lovely.. So far, all of them.
I've cried numerous times out of happiness, letting my imagination run wild while reading through it..
Sure, there are some jokes that'd make everybody laugh for a while, but letting my imagination taking the wheel has definitely made my experiences much better.
And, just as expected from visual novels, there were some.. Bad stuff happening, causing tears to build up in my eyes in no time.
Although I've mentioned Grisaia and Chaos visual novels, those were.. At best, very entertaining, not really as touching as the rest of the mentioned visual novels.
Reading through the story and expecting stuff to happen.. Only to have things take turn for the better, even better than I have expected, as that's exactly what happened in the past was what has convinced me to mention them here.
They haven't had as memorable moments to make me think about them whenever I daydream..
