Teenagers living in a giant machine do a bunch of random stuff for most of the story, but manage to screw over the villain right at the end.
funewchie eredeti hozzászólása:
1) Laid-back hero, who's a skilled fighter, fights and opposes an evil architect (who's focused on building cities filled with deathtraps) and the occasional eldritch monster.
-------

2) Anthropomorphic animal living in a village of humans that gets attacked by an invading army. Protagonist drives out the army, and village chief sends him after 7 color gems (that when all are brought together, will grant one wish).
Along the way, he fights moles and a fox kunoichi, and is helped by an anthropomorphic animal version of Indiana Jones, and an owl pirate captain.

He eventually reaches the invader's castle (after recovering 6 of the 7 gems), and fights their tyrant, a fish monster that can summon lightning.
Earlier, the invaders returned to the village and kidnapped the human village chief's daughter, who's implied to have feelings for the hero (hey, don't judge her).

As he reaches the tyrant, the tyrant kills the girl, taking the final gem that she'd been holding.
After a long fight (with help from the Indiana Jones anthro), the hero kills the tyrant and recovers the final gem. Crying over the dead girl, the gems grant his wish and bring her back to life.
And they return to their village.
-------

The first one's likely fairly easy to guess.

But the second is a game that's so obscure, I'd be surprised if it's easily guessed.

So, here are the hints:

1) Hero is helped by a boy genius, a tribal warrior, and a fortune teller. Occasionally helped by an alien, a thief, a princess, and a couple detectives.

2) Had virtually no dialogue. Obscure SNES game. Fans of RPG Maker might know the devs.

Mc looks for his sister but gets an harem instead
You will never be able to solve our gaming trivia, because you do not know much about Japanese titles, but let's give you a test:

After battles, the protagist can urinate on her adversaries for a higher point score. :DukeUrinal:
It was also released as a console title.

Which title do I mean?

Sorry funewchie, I still have no clue. xD
I tried looking up the second one even based on the hints you gave but it's really, hard.
The games I could find that were closest to match all had missing stuff.
Great Battle V for example.

I think I should spoil the first five from my earlier post. It seems no one is able to guess them either, surprised me.

I suppose I don't play enough games indeed.
Also the thread wasn't about trivia, but about describing the plot of a game. Otherwise you could get away with a single meme as well.

The first one is interesting, as it's a very popular franchise.

I guess if I had mentioned the hero (who is not human) can run REALLY fast; and the trap-filled cities and amusement parks the bad guy (who is a mustached human) wants to build also have tons of robots... it would've gave it away immediately.

(Plus, mentioning the thief is a government spy)

I'm actually going to go ahead and reveal that one, though.

It's an obscure SNES game called Ardy Lightfoot.

Made by ASCII, a Japanese developer who was part of Enterbrain, the company that originally made RPG Maker and Fighter Maker (and as far as I know, are now owned by Kadokawa).

It was a pretty hard platformer game, but it had it's charm in that the story was told with virtually no dialogue.
It was a difficult game, but one I found charming.

Sonic?

I never really considered Eggman to have any particular interest in building cities... At least, not in the ones I've played. And these friend descriptions are pretty bad. I guess the "boy genius" must be Tails even though "boy" implies human, "tribal warrior" maybe Knuckles? Fortune teller... uh... Umachao? Alien..? Thief I guess is Rouge. Princess... Wasn't there a princess in '06? Man, nobody played '06. We just look up videos talking about how bad it was to laugh at Team Sonic.

Yeah, it's Sonic.

One of Eggman's goals is to build Eggmanland, a "magnificent city of science and technology".
He also has expressed interest in building an amusement park.

To be fair, with anthros terminology gets hazy, as English doesn't really account for them.
Boy genius was meant as in a male child genius.
Knuckles is a tribal warrior, and I was trying to avoid saying guardian.

One of Amy's hobbies is fortune telling with tarot cards, and is apparently good at it. (In one game it's how she could track Sonic, she knew where he'd eventually appear)

Shadow's part alien. Rouge is a thief and spy.
Blaze the Cat is a princess from a parallel universe. And Vector and Espio are detectives.

EDIT: Also, I did play Sonic '06. One of my goals is to S-rank all the stages in it. (I went in knowing it was bad, so I'm able to enjoy it, glitches and all)

did i mention about a story about a storm that want more power?

It begins with an attempted suicide.

For whatever rerason I thought that the "boy genius", was the tribal warrior and fortune teller (at the same time)

I wouldn't call sonic laid back, since he is one of the most impatient video game characters ever. I mean he makes you instant game over if you wait too long (in his opinion) on sonic cd.
To be honest I was thinking you meant sonic at first, but the eldritch monster part caught me off guard and I misread the second hint apparently.

occasionally though, I think the princess part only happened in one or two of his games. He's helped more often by a robot who served the architect more often. Or a laid back fisher. I don't think that fortune teller helps him that much.

Unless its a reference to the achie comics or Sonic SatAM anime, in that case you do have a princess that helps him? or I should say he helps the princess.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Dispair
i will say it again. this guy really want power to the point that he ended up split himself because his other half is inferior for whatever reason.
Sleeps, your descriptions aren't really plots in a game, but more like... a way you could intepret a summary of the series of games that the protagonist is in, in my guess.

---
sleeps eredeti hozzászólása:
a random patient that is obviously not a legendary soldier escaped from a magic girl boy and a fire. you also get help from a cowboy
Assuming the above I said, likely that random patient is Zack, magic boy is Sephiroth. Cowboy is Barret?

---
sleeps eredeti hozzászólása:
you live long enough to turn yourself into someone you want to kill in the goofiest, memeable way possible
Is this the entire plot of the game? There are a number of characters that fit this, especially in games like disgaea.

---
sleeps eredeti hozzászólása:
Your own brother end himself with his thunderbolt and you save (?) the world
I am guessing that is the ending of the game.
No clue, maybe Devil May Cry

---
sleeps eredeti hozzászólása:
a plumber hate the turtle

this one's easy
If I assume what I said earlier, then this would be Mario.
but Mario doesn't seem to hate Bowser.

Maybe Siegfried and Nightmare (Soul Calibur?)
99% of gameplay consist out of, trying to walk in a straight line.
