Just thank your wife for having sacrificed ~9 months of not being able to eat cold cut sandwiches. There's some good stuff out there.

The doc said she could eat them, but they had to be pan seared first. She's not big on them anyway, somehow. Her biggest cravings were dill pickle potato chips and blue cheese. The latter, she mostly avoided since that's one of the iffy cheeses, and most restaurant servers really have no idea whether their blue cheese is pasteurized.

As far as I could tell, non-pasteurized cheese doesn't really get served in restaurants--at least, where I live--but we asked every time just in case.
