CO-OP Horror games suggestions
Hi there,

I'd like to play a few horror games together with my girlfriend but unfortunately, we haven't really found games that are 'worth' it if that's the correct wording.

Most games that we both like are way too expensive for us so I was wondering. Do you guys have any fun horror game suggestions?

It is like "The Sims" with zombies. 🙃

However, the highest I would pay is the lowest price at: $13.00 or less.

There are indie co-op, straight psychological horrors. That one is survival horror.

This game is in a HumbleBundle bundle ($12 tier):

Or HumbleBundle bundle ($7 tier):

This game for more survival horror:

OG Action Horror:

But this might be the one you are seeking - Psychological horror:

Or this:

And I almost forgot about this game which is currently FREE on Epic Games (Dying Light - Enhanced Edition):

I refunded that game. Couldn't get into it and it was way to detailed / in-depth for me.

Depend on how much horror you want.

If you just want to kill things, dying light 1 or 2 may count as horror, although minimum and only during night.

Forest is mild horror. Phasmophobia is a bit stronger.

it will help if you can tell what games you already tried and didn't like
otherwise i suggest phasmophobia
Sorry, no. It stops being horror when you have others. I guess L4D2. I think it would be a decent horror experience if you didn't have the bots or other players. You hear a smoker or a jockey coming and you're all alone, you get a sense of dread in your stomach because you don't know if you can take him out before they get you.

While it is also a VR game, you can play flatscreen as well.

Hmmm, just a horror game with jumpscares for example. A bit of Phasmo or something or just a puzzle horror type of game. Just 'horror' in general basically. Not sure how to explain ;p

besides what's scary being objective or not, horror is just a theme. just because it's horror doesn't always mean it's scary. plus you play games long enough and you doesn't get scared of most things already anyway

I was thinking about buying the other game. Not sure what the name was but it's very similar but more scary and dark.

Oh yeah. I know. There are very few games that actually kind of get to me. My favorite is dark corners of the Earth. There is a moment reasonably early on that will Jam you to the brim with panic. Plus the game does an excellent job actually doing horror in the environments, and not just thriller stuff. Definitely not co-op though. That scene I just talked about would be a nightmare with two people.

Battle through THREE epic campaigns across 15 demon-infested missions. Play solo or fight back to back in online co-op for 2-4 players.

not sure if the online servers are still active

I haven't tried it but the The Dark Pictures Anthology series have a multiplayer mode.

Hopefully I didn't butcher the quote ayy lmao

Anyway, have you guys actually gotten Cry of Fear work in multiplayer? We tried that a bunch of times with my friends and it didn't work even in the same network, so we ended up just having irl lan party where we took turns playing it.
