why is reddit on privacy lock down?
if you google any subject of a reddit and click on a link, now instead of seeing posts, you see a sorry, you cant browse this now... huh? its bad enough with its stupid rules like only post memes on these days or some others stupid ♥♥♥♥, it says its removed but its still up and others could still see it but only the poster can truly delete it, im logged in and can browse while on the site, but if its search doesnt show many results, theres google, so if no results of digimon display in the search, use google but you get this stupid lockdown message. man, reddit sucks

If you *gasp* look at the MSM, you will see the news why.

Might be that OP is asking why Reddit is really down. :spazwinky:
They are supposedly "boycotting" and "protesting"...

But only for a day or two...

Because the reddit CEO wants people to only use the website or official reddit app instead of 3rd party apps or something like that.

I don't really know if it is anything more as I only go on reddit when I need to "Cringe Farm".

When the change happens, they'll still be using the site. Mods and admins on that site are odd.

They should lose their protection as a platform, clearly they're a publisher.

Something about Reddit rising the prices on APIs, so there’s a boycott, but only for 2 days

Lol no one will care about a boycott that lasts only two days

I agree, I say right on cue and performing to type; all social media platforms are publishers. Reddit should be no exception.

You know a protest isn't serious when people announce how long the protest will be.

It's like whenever WoW players would protest in-game.... While paying $15 a month to Blizzard. Yeah, hell of a lot that's going to do.

Me when I protest for 2 days and nothing changes

Eh, nothing of value was lost.

I expect more reddit refugees coming to OT in the next few weeks

I doubt it since most of the gaming subreddits will be made back to public on the 14th.

Global economies are failing. Globally. All at once.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=F5e2hl3ZZVw

Somehow, our elite betters didn't foresee the consequences of bankrupting whole nations on a global scale. And tech CEOs didn't fare much better.

Even after Stadia's failure. Which followed Google's fibre internet failure.

... Dear lord we're ruled by idiots. I hate our democracy.
